Play PSARC files outside of Rocksmith like a regular MP3?

Featured Replies

I noticed one app here played it like a regular music file, so is there a app out there that can play the files just like you would a run of the mill Mp3 file.?   If so, what app?

Not possible.

You could always unpack the psarc and convert the wem file to an ogg but that's a lot of work to get one song that could easily be available on legal platform.

Thanks, that was what I feared, that you would have to do things in the reverse order of making a psarc file.

Why exactly do you need it to play it like a mp3 file ?

CF Song Manager can play songs without extracting the psarc or w/e like that and you can also skip to desired seconds in the song, but I'm not sure if that's enough. ( If you don't already have it, you can find download link here: http://customsforge.com/topic/24255-customsforge-song-manager-cfsm-beta-release/ )

Its not for me, its for my wife.   Since I have a bunch of songs she likes, I was wondering if there was a player out there for it so when she does her exercise stuff, she could have that as another option of playing songs she likes without bothering to get them by other means.

She uses Roku on a tv and uses pandora, and a couple others or Mp3 via media server, so was thinking if there was something out that simply played them without  conversion, it would just be another source of tunes.
