i had downloaded a couple of songs but i can play it, they are in the song list, after calibrate the guitar the notes doesnt appear and the song neither start.

@Mods/admins - is there a way that we can make this tutorial even more visible to new members? Seems like lots of people miss it somehow, as this question/issue always comes up.

@@GetTheLedOut it's in the FAQ, this question is asked at least twice every week, it's pinned in the tutorial section and yet people can't figure shit out... I'm not sure we can do much more than those...

He can't even capitalise the title of his post, I'm not surprised he can't work out how to get customs working on his own...

@@firekorn I guess I should have stressed that I meant MORE visible, because it's not as if we haven't tried.

Clearly not everyone is going to make an effort to look for an answer before asking a question, but maybe we can do more to prevent new users from asking this type of question. I'm sure there's just as many people who never ask (or search for the answer) and therefore never become an active member of the community. Obviously that's a lose/lose situation.

Would there be a way to make the "How get CDLCs working... etc" tutorial the default home page for new users? Or maybe just the tutorials sub-forum itself? Perhaps once they've met some requirement, like x days of membership, or x number of posts, then we can send them to the normal CF home page.

Just a thought... nothing worth ranting about any more than I already have :)



 

If i remember correctly the FAQ is the first place people are sent right after registering (i might be wrong was so long ago :p ).

 

There might be possibility but looking at the proportion of people registering and people asking, i doubt the issue is about visibility honestly :D
