Is there a way to mute the in-game guitar so only my guitar is being heard while doing a song??

(so it,s as if i,m the only lead guitar player)

Also ,if pc crashes and have to get a new one,,will all the songs i,ve added to the DLC folder be restored through Steam or just the official songs and DLC i,ve purchased??

(gonna back-up my DLC folder to an external HD as i think this is the answer)

Sadly there isn't... :/ You can turn down the Songs volume and increase your guitar volume but theres no way to mute a specific part of a track. (So you can't mute the lead guitar and still hear the bass, vocals, rhythm etc. you can only turn down the WHOLE songs volume) Some people that make customs however have seperate versions you can download that leave these parts out.

In the search, type "multitrack" to see basically all the customs with muted instruments ;-)

Also: You have to backup the custom DLC yourself. Only the stuff you bought through Steam is backed up by Steam.

And while you're at it: Be sure to manually backup your Rocksmith profile. I didn't have a single problem in over a year of using customs, but from time to time users report corrupted profiles, caused by some CDLC.

Check out my easy tutorial on how to add a metronome to your CDLC: Mute the original music, play only with the metronome and find out how good you really sound! Also: Find CDLCs that have the metronome enabled!

Want a USB-Footswitch that you can use to control the tone selection and all the menus in Rocksmith? Check out Rodman's Tutorial and my additions to that!  Footswitch_Logo.png

My CDLCs: Devin Townsend - Life, Deep Peace, Ih-Ah!, Deadhead; Farin Urlaub - Ok

My ideas for new features in Ignition, e.g. filters for Multitrack CDLC and Metronome CDLC.

How do you back up user profile?

Thanks for info on multitracks,,,,didn,t know about them.

DL,ed one and going to give it a try!!

Found the userdata folder in the parent Steam folder. Opened that and

subfolder had 8 numbers (i copied that folder to a back-up location)

inside of that folder were other folders..

Googled for some info and read that 205190 folder is RS folder

does this sound right to you?

Yes, that sounds correct to me. This is what RS support told me and it's what I do, so I hope to hell it's correct. :)

folder to back up is in Steam>userdata>

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\155299009\221680

And that reminds me, it's time to back it up again.
