This happens to me all the time on this site for some reason, and by all the time I mean like 65% of the posts I make on someone's dlc just vanish and never post after typing it out and hitting enter.

 

Does this happen to anyone else?

 

Everyone who reads this, thanks for all your cdlc's. Sorry you don't get my feedback, I have been trying, but after typing something out for 20min and having it vanish for the 2nd or 3rd time I usually leave site in frustration.

 

This is the only site this happens to me on and it happens more often than the post actually goes through. Up until now I have been copying each post (when I remember) before hitting enter so I can try again and again to paste it and get it to go through. Getting to be too much so I just wanted to say thanks to everyone, and sorry my feedback never goes through for some reason, it hasn't been for a lack of me trying.

Yes, the same thing happens to me quite often. I usually clear the history on the web browser I use, it helps. The posts on CF start working again for me.

Happens to me, too. Not just as often as you describe, though.

 

Please be aware there is also the option to restore an auto-saved message (see the time stamp in the bottom left cornor of the editor). I think it is saved every minute or so and will restore most of what you have written before you hit "post" ;-)

I confirm that this happens randomly often, so often, I ctrl-c copy my post.

Unluckily the auto-save is empty after sending the post which doesn't display.

I noticed that reloading the page gives you back the auto-save content. Strange...

Sometimes I have to retry 2-3 times, sometimes it's impossible to send the post, after many trials.

I thought it was a browser problem, I use Opera.

Never happend to me. I use firefox 35,0,1

I generally don't have problems in Firefox, although I've kept the habit of copying posts to the clipboard before submitting because other forums would routinely eat the posts.

My problems appear under Windows 8.1, Firefox (auto update enabled, so I assume it is always up to date)

I have always used windows 7. (untill this post, im testing it from my laptop with windows 8.1)
