This comes from the discussion over at http://customsforge.com/topic/1470-the-need-to-separate-good-cdlc-from-unfinishedbad-one/

Basically this is a list of guys willing to commit some of our time to testing CDLC and commenting our findings be it at the workshop pertinent to that CDLC, via PM and/or the google docs below, if you need anything tested let us know by posting here or via PM to any of us at the list below, PERSONALLY i preffer PMs that way i get a notification so yeah, also let us know if you would like to test CDLC, this is an open group and we are happy to get more guys to join just try to keep it relaxed and follow our example, cheers :).

COMPLETE LIST OF TESTED CDLC: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AqgJhtukD_LedE85eVg4V3E2TjlZZ0t0RFJnNlZSU1E&usp=sharing%C2%A0

GUIDELINES FOR TESTERS(this are suggestions but we would really appreciate any tester keeping close to them):

-If you plan to test CDLC on a constant or semi-constant basis please let Olorin or myself know(its much more convenient for us if you do it via PM, BTW) that way we will add you to the list.

-Its not a job, you can do it on your own speed but we do ask you to report your feedback in at least two places, 1) the CDLC/workshop post of that particular song and also the GOOGLE DOC(link up there).

-If you report feedback at the CDLC post please go as much in detail as you feel to but when posting feedback in the google doc please try to keep it short and simple, read the first feedbacks to see how we did it and take from that example.

-Also please be sure to post links to the particular file you are reviewing for clarity sake.

A little explanation on the google docs entries logic:

As you can see we have the basic information colums: Artist, Song, Testers, Link, Status and Feedback.

***Artist/Song: self explanatory, name of the artist and the particular song you tested.

***Testers: basically, US, you, whoever has valid feedback for the CDLC.

***Link: link to the CDLCDB/WORKSHOP/FILE you tested, try to keep them valid in case the autor of the CDLC changes something.

***Status: The current status of the TESTING DONE on the CLDC, NOT the status of the charter project/CDLC, i.e. if it needs more TESTING, if it has been fully tested or not, personally i manage 2 status, FULLY TESTED(which i color GREEN) and AWAITING TESTERS (means me or someone tested the CDLC but would also like for more people to give us feedback on that particular CDLC, specially if i/we didnt tested ALL the features in the song, for example i only tested the bass but no lead)

***Feedback: BASIC feedback, specially short comments that summarize your findings, feel free to go into more detail when posting in the particular CDLC entry at the database or workshop post.

For example:

"Lead: good but tone is too muddy/overdriven, rhythm: good but a bit imprecise at the end, bass: great"

As you can see you give info on what and where needs work but you can go into waaay more detail at the post of that CDLC on the DB.

ALSO, i just added the "CHARTER" column, that way we can give credit to whoever charted the CDLC ;).

THANK YOU :).

ill try to get some testing this week but man, ive been constantly getting derailed, havent even played much RS 2014 lately haha, will do my best :).

I've got a WIP that I would like reviewed if possible please: Anberlin - Feel Good Drag (link to WIP post).

This work is not quite ready for release yet, and I'm not sure if I should submit it for testing now, or when I believe it's finally ready, so feedback on that if possible.  I am hoping that the only thing left to do is add tones, and that is one of the things I'm looking for feedback on.  I have not specified fingering yet, and I think some silent space at the end of the song might be good, but probably not required.  I may PM some people as well.

Thanks much for any assistance you can provide!

I was hoping that maybe someone might have the time to do a test of my Beatles "Hey Bulldog" project. I'd like to get it posted to the database, but I want to make sure it's good enough for that first, and need some objective eyes, ears, and hands to determine that.

If you can leave your comments in my WiP thread after testing, that would be great. Thanks to anyone who is willing to help! It is very much appreciated!

Hey Bulldog (link to WiP thread).

If anyone could test my song that would be great!

Jason Aldean - My Kinda Party

Took me forever to make and I think it is pretty good although the solos are too difficult for me.

It requires a capo and when I use a capo, any of the open stringed chords do not get detected but I think that is just my guitar.

Suggestions appreciated!

EDIT:  Nevermind, I will be posting the song tomorrow.  Look for it ;)

Guys since im very very busy and have little time to dedicate (i havent played RS in a while), i made the googledocs editable by anyone so please go ahead and report over there, ill be coming here every now and then but until the end of this month i might have some more free time, sorry for this, wish me luck xD.

No Problem Eddie, take the time u need and everything is fine.So the list is open and Eddie doesn't have so much time to keep the list up to date.

So i decide to  sign voluntarily to keep the list up to date. So if u tested a CDLC or a WiP write me a PM and i will add everything to the list.

Thanks a lot Olorin and, so far, i think everyone can add to the list? i have a backup in case someone screws with it, still thanks i really wanna play some guitar but i havent even had time for that haha im losing my callouses! xD

I think everyone could do it. But if everyone would write in it could it end in a mess xD i now im a pessimist.

But i think, depening on my personal experience, i could be better if there is a little group of person who are fixed to managed the whole thing. Thats provides trust in the project and respect.

I'd be happy to test anything on bass or guitar.

For the love of god, people, no bitching/whining/complaining. If you don't like something, either state it constructively...or keep it to yourself.

Mister Roosevelt and Homer welcom on Board. i can't the First post but Eddie will do it sooner or Later if he found the time.

So Feel free to test the CDLC/WiP and add the result by your own at the list (first post link) or send a PM to me as long Eddie has some time troubles.

So i write it down here again, for our new Guys.

If u send Eddie or me a PM for the CDLC list, Feedback is great, but also write them under the tested CDLC/WIP.

We need the Feedbacks to testing, thats right, but more to see if those problems are fixed if we test them again.

So we can only re-test the CDLC/WIP , if those things are fixed, when the Charter Knowing those problems.

Also put in what u tested, Rhythm,Lead, Bass or everything. Better for us and the Charter.

If the CDLC/WIP isn't in the list yet, so first test ever pls give us the Link for it, too.

Thx for reading.

BIIIIIIIIIG EDIT on the first post, please check it out, also, ill be back by the beginning of the next month (work work work work right now xD) haha see ya guys thanks for everything specially to Oloring :).

Looking for a metal oriented tester with nimble fingers to go through my customs list which can be found here. I think that especially my old customs might have problems and i really want to iron all the kinks out of them. Some songs i simply cannot even play myself when we talk about some lightning fast melodeath.

If someone is interested then let me know and let's start working together a bit.

I will probably try a lot of them since i love some of this bands but it will surely take some time.

Don't know about my guitar skill but since i can play most in flames songs with more than 90%, i think i can do it.

Firekorn's workshop

Amorphis customs are quite well tested by many, and i think only problem with them is too long sustains. Insomnium, Kalmah, Wintersun and Omnium Gatherum songs are the ones that needs testing most. But of course any single one of them can be tested if the song is pleasant for you.

I'm also going through those as i think there is a lot to fix, at least for the first ones i created.

It would be a good idea to have a button to report and identify a bad release

on the release page of a song..

Some people care more for guitar than bass, some don't care about tones.

It's not acceptable that releases keep missing a default tone, which makes it necessary to restart RS

People who release a song almost take priority on this song,

and it would be no good to see several releases of the same song.

This means, a release must be corrected for clearly identified errors,

and if the author does not have the time or is not willing or caring, he should allow others to do it.

The Idea of a Button to Report, well it is in my oppinion complete nonsense. If we all work together and also give feedback then it is complete unnecessary. Thats allready a a indicator. But the default Tone thing is also not the biggest problem if the Charter use the latest RS Toolkit it's create automaticlly a default tone to every arrangment.

But all in all it's a discussion about small things but this isn't the right place for it.
