I played Deathray LOTs of times and I am really satisfied with the result, but I don't think I will be able to crack the 99% (and I think I prefer leveling up via 3x97%)

Judging from the championship results and Rodman's leaderboard, it seems to me that a lot of people ignore the Rhythm path, even when it is similar to Lead but yet with a few different elements (like in Deathray)... anyway, not my problem  :D  I enjoy my top position in Rhythm :P

I posted this in the beginning of the week and now I'm giving it one last try:

I am looking for someone to help me figure out two pinch harmonics in another great song by Devin Townsend, "Life".

Do me the favour and check out my workshop thread while you are still tuned to Open C.

"Life" is already a pretty solid CDLC, but I want to make it perfect :)

Judging from the championship results and Rodman's leaderboard, it seems to me that a lot of people ignore the Rhythm path, even when it is similar to Lead but yet with a few different elements (like in Deathray)... anyway, not my problem  :D  I enjoy my top position in Rhythm :P

 

My first week or two here, I played both the lead and rhythm charts. But lately, I'm trying to just focus on my shredding, so I've been spending most of my time in Lead charts, especially for the purpose of the Championship. Sometimes I'll play rhythm charts for pleasure, but my heart's in lead!

I did a couple +1s today!

I think I can do the solos well enough in SA now. I'm still a little sketchy on that high part, but the rest I've got on lock.

 

My other +1 was on Steve Vai, but since I'm only at 70% for that and I intend on breaking 80, I didn't screenshot it. But it totally happened!

And one last small + on Deathray! This took a TON of restarts.

Easy wins, always welcome...

 

I consider my primary path lead for sure, but what any beginner will be needing is chord change and consistency practice (rather than RR on too hard solos) rhy is great for that.

 

 

And for the huge deathray competition going on:

Yeah, i keep doing this week after week cause i think its a great motivation to keep playing each week, see the progress and know whom you are competing against on the long run...

 

Ideas for improvements always welcome!

 

 

Well,

just one idea but maybe its to hard to manage.

 

 

Instead of having the all scores from the 10 last weeks, 

having the 8 best score from the previous 10 weeks. ( Having a discard of 2 in 10)

Thats why i made it last 10 and not only last 5 weeks, that few missed weeks would not matter..

As its done its a sum of the ranked scores 1-4th place of the last 10 weeks, so what i gotta do is replace the oldest week with the newest, sort, clean up and add to leaderboard (and clean up).... I have the workflow optimised, still takes a lot of time.

 

A 8 out of 1o wouldnt have changed anything so far (o.c. @@Nacholede would ve been even closer to the perfect streak, we wont make it any easier here - no ;) )

 

 

Maybe 2 extra pts for a 100, i dunno...

I normally tend to stay away from Rhythm arrangements as they are at times a lot more simple to play and I want to mainly focus on lead arrangements. I have been playing them a lot more recently since Rodman has made that points spreadsheet and since they are keeping track of who keeps playing each week, but since I am not in your class you won't have to worry about me beating your scores lol. I haven't touched the Devin Townsend song since I hate tuning so low but I might give it a try tonight.

A friend and me missed a damn screw of the bridge when we were changing the strings, and that screw is very specific, and hard to get, so he will travel far away with his father to find a replacement for that one, then he will change the string and lower them a little bit. But he will have everything done for next tuesday so i'm here, just watching how you  guys play hahaha

@@w4rl3x Ah, your pic is not valid. We need accuracy and streak, which are displayed for short period of time, and are covered by "technique guide", etc. The big number on top is Mastery, and we can't count it for championship score. I hope you'll be able to get one more score, that'll be valid. Also the best way to get good pic is to play Score Attack.

Score attack picture is better because it shows decimal points of your accuracy % ;-)
