@@Rodman May be it is one reason lack of beginners. Many participants long time stayed in their class, do not want leveled up, but wherein wants more hard a songs for challenge. And now we have two songs for intermediate players. :)

My position, as organizer, we must leaving the scene for beginners, as if we did not want to play more a songs.

Yeah, as we have 4 classes we can keep the entrance easy by all means.

 

I really hope more beginners will join soon...

If you guys have ever played GH3 you'll recognize it. Great band, great tune, super fun to play on guitar. Gotta rep my Canadian brethren!

That speech is because the album is a concept album. It is really cool and it's just a few seconds but i'll see if i can cut it off

LOVE the priestess track, sounds to me like a cross between Wolfmother and Monster Truck (Mothertruckers?) I'm RR'ing it atm as it is the type of track I need to break down and really get to know the sections before attempting a first try playing through the whole thing... Same goes for Aerosmith... hopefully I can play at least one of those to a not too shameworthy level :)ASHES TO ASHES! I better DL that one now then o.O

Sorry I haven't been very active for a couple days, and that's going to continue this week -- my family is visiting from the US and we're going to take a trip down to southern Thailand (beach with the mushroom rock formations etc.) so I'll be away for about a full week.

 

I'll make sure I get a play or two of Walk this Way in on bass before I go though!  B)

Glad nothing this week tunes below Eb Standard! :D Walk This Way is a fun bass song and I think I'll give Lay Down a shot on guitar since it has a really awesome riff.

Int lead: I just have to reiterate how much I love this band, I once opened for/partied with them and they're awesome guys. Their music is pretty good, too!

 

This is tricky for an intermediate song. The string skipping in the main riff is going to take me some work to get down pat. But damn, does the solo feel good to land! I didn't quite get to where I have in past plays on this song, but close enough.

Haha, my luck, last week Int song was Beg, this week Beg song is Int. I would say that @@Nacholede is way above everyone else (or he simply hates beginners :P ). To be serious:

First of all - I want Beginner songs to be E std, drop D or Eb, songs in lower tuning will have chance to be selected only once in a while, so please, if you can, try to select normal tunings.

Secondly - Yes, that was a mistake to choose this songs. In a moment I will select new one (of proper level).

And here's my score....i totally missed it, my high strings hate me and they are REALLY hard to bend because there's a lot of tension. I will have to change the high strings for 0.10 gauge, so it will got an hybrid set of strings on my guitar

Here's my MC Bass entry for the week to maintain diehard status before I go on vacation:

 

Quite a fun song.  This was on my 3rd play today.  First was a LAS refresher, with 92% accuracy.  Then I did LAS again and got 97.5%, but that screenshot doesn't show the .x% so would only count for 97% even.  Tried one more time in SA and got this -- fatigue set in a bit so I didn't match the 97.5.  I may try a couple more times tonight and see if I can bust 98 before I have to head out!
