Thanks to everybody that posted, I wanted to name each one, but when I logged in now, there were so many posts, that I decided to give a "general" thanks, I hope you guys don't mind.

 

Amazing scores @@Smile, both in Hard and MM.... I only managed to achieve something similar in the song "Metallica - Ecstasy of Gold" on the bass arrangement and I was playing emulated at the time, so now I have the chance to see how things are gonna go with a real bass.

This I wasn't expecting at all...

I've played the bass arrangement of Zebra during the week with emulated and I couldn't get more than 97.62%, that was the best run I did, so, today I decided to give it a shot with the new bass to see how below I was going to score. I played the 1st run fingering and I got 95.ish%, so I thought "not bad, just -2%", but I decided to give it another shot using a pick and in the end the game showed me this...

I honestly was expecting a lower score than the one I had, but somehow I managed to play more notes on a real bass than playing with my guitar on emulated..... I'm in love with this bass, I think my guitar is gonna have a couple of days of vacation :D

Again, another one I wish I'd recorded because it was a million miles better than the last video... for some reason my timing must have been aligned with the right mood, constellation and well chosen cosby jumper attire. Must remember to start up recording software on boot up! :)

This was from score attack, the new score I posted was from learn a song where the accuracy improved by 1% give or take a point... Prior to the 98.2 it was showing as 97. Something.... So, an improvement of sorts :)

I did about 180 runs in a week on Rob Zombie - Black Sumday, and was left with 98.x percent for damn damn damn recognition reasons..

 

Nevertheless every run was fun and added to skill!

I think it was mentioned already, but this week was really tough for beginners, especially if anyone was going to be new to joining the championship. I don't actually see anyone on the leaderboard yet that isn't in another class (and doesn't many that have posted higher scores in other classes).

 

I don't think beginner songs should have tunings that aren't either in E Standard or Drop D. Anything else is probably going to require different strings for RS to recognize well and also be a turnoff. One of my guitars at home has strings that I play in D Standard, but my dad's guitar has super light strings, and I tuned it down to try to play this song (once) and immediately tuned it back up again. ;) I think 10-15% of the song % loss was misses for recognition, the rest was because the song was pretty fast in general and probably I'd rank around a 3.

I tried Skyclad around 10 times in RR and normal and love the song but couldn't get through it without getting down ranked on the arpeggios. I kept getting better and better though, and removed the DD and ended up with a not super bad score.

Anyway, I'd rank Drink a 3 but wouldn't have chosen it for beginners because of the tuning. I'd put One Piece Puzzle at 7 in Advanced and possibly Zebra just slightly easier than One Piece in Intermediate at 6. Fun week though.

And look like i`m stucked with improve my score. Seems now, i braced to my skill limit.

Ok, so here goes final difficulty scores for week 52 songs:

Alestorm - Drink: Lead 3, Rhythm N/A, Bass 5
Skyclad - The One Piece Puzzle: Lead 6, Rhythm 6, Bass 3
John Butler Trio - Zebra: Lead 7, Rhythm N/A, Bass 8
Dream Theater - Metropolis Pt. 1: Lead 10, Rhythm 10, Bass 10

I give you one day for final comments. Tomorrow I will submit that scores.

 

I have to hardly disagree with opinion that Skyclad's lead is 7. It maybe looks difficult but is managable and no real problem. Solo is not so complicated either. So that's 6.

Zebra is 7 on the other hand. Solo is way more complicated then what we want Int's to take. That's why we have Advanced class.
