We have permanently suspended Lil Ramen Noodle's account for repeatedly scamming people who commissioned charts from him. While we don't know the full extent of the problem, we know this was a frequent occurrence. We have issued temporary bans and restrictions over time, which have helped motivate some refunds and completion of work. Ultimately this policy stopped being effective, and we apologize for not suspending his account earlier. Additionally, we have permanently suspended 65 days for monetizing charts behind a "Ko-Fi". Our rules are clear and stipulate that CDLC linked to on CustomsForge should not be locked behind a paywall. His ban is also effective immediately. Using a new Ignition feature, all charts belonging to Lil Ramen Noodle and 65 days have been moved to our Abandoned user. This user's purpose is to store charts for users who have requested that, or for instances like this when accounts have received administrative action. It's possible for any user to request ownership of an abandoned chart, just contact a staff member. Charts are given out on a first come, first serve basis. Taking ownership makes you liable for issues with the chart and requires you to update it to match our 2025 charting standards. We are grateful to all users who have taken the time to report these issues with Lil Ramen Noodle. While investigating and actioning users is a time-consuming process, we do our best to ensure a safe environment for all our users.

My project is at a point where I want to share it. I 3d printed a guitar body and paired it with a kit guitar neck and electronics to make a playable electric guitar. I even cut my own "signature" headstock It is assembled from 7 printed parts The side pieces attach with nuts imbedded in the core piece. I paused the printer at the layer right before it seals up the cavities for the nuts. A closeup of the pattern on the surface. It was rougher than I wanted, so I covered it with a piece of aluminum foil and ran a hot iron over it to smooth the plastic. That was tricky, because any wrinkle in the foil transferred to my surface. I set it up, adjusted the pickup heights, and it plays! I've never had a Tele (as you can probably guess by my backwards switchplate) but I am blown away by how good it sounds! Perhaps I will use it on one of my covers in the near future.

Charting Standards (2025) To improve the overall standard of CDLC going forward, we are implementing a clear list of what constitutes the 'reasonable standard'. For charts created in 2025 onwards. Charts from before 2025 are not being randomly deleted or going anywhere unless the charter decides to remove them themselves. Reported charts however are bound to these new standards and any updates you do must follow at minimum the Required: section. Required (functionality): The following list are aspects of charting that functionally affect the final product, so it is of everyone's best interest that charts are created with a solid foundation. - Charts must have 10 seconds leading silence, and roughly 2 seconds of silence at the end of the track. (Adjusting your audio files in a DAW, like Audacity before you start the project is usually the best practice.) - Charts must be made using a decent audio file. (Ideally sourced from a reputable place like the official band website/ Bandcamp and not a rip of the YouTube music video) - Charts must be made with sufficient accuracy transcription wise. - Charts must be synced adequately. - Charts must be set to the proper tuning. (Using tools like Tonart can help you detect the true tuning of a song if it's not 'standard A440'.) - Charts must include tones. - Charts must have manual Phrases and Sections set. - Charts must have Dynamic Difficulty. (can be generated using the DLC Builder) - Charts must be made using the latest tools available. EOF/ Charter and the DLC Builder - The DLC Builder does a validity check of the arrangements and will give you a list of ''issues'' it has detected which you should fix before uploading to CustomsForge. - The DLC Builder also sets certain values, like the Scroll Speed and the Song Volume, automatically for you to match the ODLC standards. It is in your best interest to leave these to what they are set to by the tool. (Go to File > Configuration > and ensure the ''Calculate Volumes Automatically'' box is checked) Required (playability): The following list are aspects of charting that will have an impact on the visuals of the chart which you should also take care of. Having projects which have the visual side of things done correctly can drastically improve the quality and playability of a chart. - Accurate Fret Hand Positions. (Don't rely on auto-generated FHPs) - Proper chord fingerings. (Don't rely on auto-generated chord fingerings) - Note sustains are visually appropriate and have at least a 1/32 gap between the subsequent note. - Correct pitched vs unpitched slide usage. - Manual Handshapes where appropriate. Repeated failure to follow the above will also result in your upload privileges being revoked until you can prove you can create CDLC that are up to current day standards. Nice to haves: The following list are finer details of charting which are not mandatory to include, however it is greatly appreciated if you do go the extra mile. - Lyrics that are accurate. - Charts include a path for Lead, Rhythm and Bass. - Verifying chord names. - Referencing live videos/ artist playthroughs to help with accuracy. - More defined tones to match what is in the song. - Further fine tuning to make charts almost equal to ODLC standards: ODLC looking charts guide Further Advanced charting technique guide Uploading charts to CF / Ignition: - Proper spelling of artist and song. - Include music video (if available) as well as Song Duration and Year. - Correct tuning and appropriate tags/ genres. - Include a Mac (m.pasrc) file if possible. - Author notes that has information about the chart, not the song itself. Ok regarding the Space Oddity cover it looks like everyone is waiting for me because @ cacahuate51 and @ diceslinger forced me to do it first 😆 The problem is that I didn't have much time to try to do it, I installed Reaper but I still don't understand how it works, I based it on this short description from Caca's post. Based on that I managed to record one rhythm track, I wanted to add something with Lead (mini solo) and add a Bass track, but I don't know how to combine multiple tracks. You mentioned that you can't record while playing Rocksmith so I didn't try it, I played watching a YT video. It is 38°C where i live, i have no AC, but i just need to play, the improvements are being so massive in the last month for me... Pretty easy, first try 100%. Me myself - i am in the middle of a very demanding pre-xmas quest.... which will be a decision 4 life 😱 I have spent playing for 10 hours or so - when placing my order i was absolutely sure it was gonna be a tough reace between the Martin D-28 and the Taylor 814ce builders ed. but NOOOO - it´s not that easy. The Gibson Hummingbird sounds so awesome (and if you ever have a chance to open up a premium Gibson acoustic - do - that smell of that guitar... insane), who would have ever ever thought it could compete - it´s competing to stay hard and atm in first place, maybe a tad behind the absolute surprise candidate the gorgious Taylor GT K21e, completely made out of hawaian Koa - it only landed in the basket for being a black friday deal - so far always in 1st or 2nd in any blind audition i sent to my friends. So - all 4 are still absolutely up for the place in my livingroom, playability on all perfect, no dropping of any there. Today i´ll gather my family and hear what they hear and say. What can i say - life is hard. P.S: It´s unlikely it´s gonna be the Gibson, cause i don´t wanna buy a Gibson - but if you ever test one - play some J. Cash 😉

Hope you are all enjoying summer! Since this site is filled with musicians thought it would be neat to have a selection of songs that have been made by them. The idea came after playing snowshovels + djpavs cdlcs from their own bands 🙂 I asked around discord and messaged some creators to fill in the gaps and i appreciate all of the people who helped me out/ responded! Mine broke so i couldnt test it but the song and the other one he has on the site sound good to me. Reminds me of beried alive mixed with DOOM / Loop Hero (Video Game Music) No idea how to rate kentucky fried rats since its so short and only 2 sections but i enjoyed it alot (biased cause i like kfc,rats, chromatic riffs lol) . ... the week before i was at seen 25 full shows and a few half (all marked green or half green) Oh boy.... good good music... and one thing that already smelled the taste of last year when seing Palaye Royale then... there is a front if new bands kicking the old masters hard... all have one thing in common - perfectly, almost model-like frontmen (or woman in the case of Poppy) all real rolemodels, styled as hell, real beautiful people..... Rolemodels for the 10000s standing there singing along every word not only visually but carying the spirits of 90s punk - life is pure pain, we against them all etc. conecting massively with the younger crowd..... And then the music begins.... hardest hardest possible metal in any way possible.... and i am in heaven It´s described as Deathcore and more sophisticated new nonsense genrenames.... for me oldschooler it´s esp. in the case of Lorna Shore pure Black Metal partly with Death vocals. But that´s not important. It´s insane to see hordes of 20year olds standing there singing every word of that very special kind of music i have always loved ..... fun times. But in the end almost only great performances .... except Linkin Park - they were there to earn money.... no that´s too harsh - problem is - when evry band after the other performs as if it was to save all our lives ..... just singing the songs is not enough.... sorry Mrs. Armstrong - yes you are to blame first, sorry Mr. Shinoda - good album - subpar live performance, i´d love it the other way around..... But who were the absolute killers? Well.... the old guys still kickin hard at the podiums (i always go with to friends . so here are our best overall performances) Tamara 3. Idles 2. Nintendo - Mushroom Bridge- Mario? not the most iconic song perhaps but seemed ok for beginners (there is a somewhat tricky part hence the highish rating) Lyn - No More What Ifs- persona 5. Never heard of the game or song but it was fun. Keira - Night Springs - Alan wake 2 trailer . Blue stahli - I personally first listened to his music via Dead Rising 2 (one of my favorite soundtracks) however, this track was featured in watchdogs legion. Disturbed - Decadence (2005)- This song was Featured in need for speed most wanted. couldnt really find an advanced song but hopefully its ok to play easier songs. the cdlc was good : Club Penguin - Fishing Theme (Paris St. Germain) - Club penguin, those chords will always remind me of spongebob. Steve Vai - Halo 2 Theme Mjolnir Mix - Halo 2 I really wanted to add some DOOM on here since some of them have been fun to play but the list was getting kinda big. maybe sometime. I thought I wrote out a whole routine for you. You want better technique I guess you need a metronome and get your timing down . there Is no instant gratification as satinuke said You have to enjoy and endure the boring stuff to get better I don't know what level you are at but I was 20 years In when I thought F!!! this time to get serious . I went completely back to basics and rebuilt my whole technique A good teacher Is always going to help you progress faster but they are hard to find especially in these days of Every other person on youtube Is trying to sell you their bullshit! I would start here I use to spend 6 hours a day doing this stuff Start with downstrokes 1 note per click maybe 60BPM try to get the metronome click to disappear. then 2,3,4,5,6 notes per click do this also with upstrokes start slow and after a time speed it up do the same with alternate picking on single string up to 10 notes per click Practice this on all strings everyday Trill with the left hand single finger and all finger combinations try for 1 minute on each do a few different combo's a day I run through chromatics most days, I will run though spider exercises when my hands feel stiff Ladders on bass everyday I will run through some scale shapes on most days if I'm really on It I will go through all Interval and numeric combinations, and scale triads seventh's, forwards backwards, up and down Then coils I actually find grinding exercises fun (sick I Know) Oh and I am finally after years starting to crack sweeping, But mainly I'm trying to up my time On RS my sight reading sucks!! my RS plan 1. Championship 2.play through all old Championship songs 3.play all RS1 songs sorted by difficulty all paths 4. Play all bands in collection with over 10 songs and rate by difficulty 5.Play all odlc and dlc from 2014 by difficulty.

I'm also looking at a new guitar any ideas? 24 Frets, SSH If possible, Trem/Hard Tail. I was looking at a AZ2402 as that seems to cover everything and sell my current guitar.

This song seems to be a little easier than Slipknot, other than it goes on forever. With a little practice, this could be a good beginner song with lots of single-note repetitive riffs. It is a little tricky to get the triplet hammer on to sound clean. I learned this song several years ago but have long forgotten how to play it. So many great songs this week. Unfortunately, I have a super busy week and some work travel so hopefully I can get some more time in.

Me tuning up three guitars to play in a week of the championship when @ cacahuate51 is hosting. JK - great selection of songs this week. Super fun song to play, gotta nail that little bridge part to improve. This was a surprising score for first site read and quite frankly sloppy play. Finally, just when I was going request to be moved down to intermediate lead, I score up there with @ Rodman and @ Mikson and realize that I just need to practice some more during the week. More scores later this week, holidays are done, work schedule is back to normal, getting back to my regularly scheduled life. Go Forth and Rock!
