Sorry if I missed it somewhere, but I'm not having any luck. Is it possible to have more than one instance of EOF open simultaneously? Would be very useful for comparing tracks or additional copy/paste options. I'm working on a Mac, but am curious of the possibility regardless Mac or Windows. My attempts have always resulted in the second instance starting to open, then crashing back to the desktop regardless of how I attempt to start it (different EOF versions, folder paths, etc). Many thanks!

Hello, Sorry for the stupid question. I want to create a cdlc but the song has no guitar pro tab unfortunately... So I have to do it from scratch in guitar pro or editor on fire for the first time and I'm struggling. Not familiar with tabs or guitar pro, so I chose to do it directly in EOF. I read the tutorial but I didn't find the answer. How to create a hammer on (in EOF)? I want a hammer on from fret 4 to 5 on the A string. I create the note in EOF (4th fret, A string), then I click on "N", I see "HO" (meaning hammer on) but how to connect it with the following note (5th fret, A string) so it hammers from 4 to 5? Thank you 🙂

  3. Hello! I am just trying to start on EOF, by editing a Rocksmith .psarc. It was unpacked with RS Toolkit, but when i want to open it with EOF, I get the error: 980: Importing Rocksmith file 980: eof_load_rs() entered 980: Error reading tuning values from XML. Aborting 980: Closing project when I check XML, it says it's ok - I think. Hi, I wanted to use the "Loading Text" from song properties to display the key the song is in. But somehow neither the "Loading Text" or the frettist info displays when launching the song. Is there a setting I have to make in addition to set? Maybe in the Song Creator's Toolkit? Best, Adrian

So I have been working quite a bit in EoF recently and I have accidentally done something by mistake. The whole of the screen is now covered in these yellow lines. I have attached an image so you can see for yourself. Does anyone know how to get rid of this?

  6. Started by lulZghost,

When I open the CDLC in Rocksmith, it looks like you can see on the attached image, and I need to set the difficulty up with riff repeater. In eof the track looks normal (see attached image). I tried setting the difficulty in eof to the one where the notes are and deleting the others, but that didn't do anything.

Hi everyone, I am working on a guitar exercise so what I did was record the audio from the tab in TuxGuitar and wanted to sync up the GP file to this TuxGuitar audio. However, when I import the GP file, I can't get it to sync up. When I drag the notes to the start of the audio, it's like the notes aren't even close - they are much slower than the recorded audio. I've played around with different BPM and the "estimate BPM" feature to no avail. Also, this exercise has 3 different BPM in it which doesn't probably make this any easier. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I can send the individual files if that makes it easier as well. Thank you! Than…

I'm working on a song, and there's an open note hidden behind a chord. Please see the screenshot. You can't see the yellow note while playing. When the gate scrolls to the front at the strings, the yellow open note is still hidden by the top of the gate even. I tried a few things. I tried to form an 2 note arpeggio, which indicates the note in the gate, but the note itself is still hidden behind the gate. I tried to change the scroll speed in the DLC builder, but it doesn't space out the notes. I also tried to switch to un-inverted strings, but it hangs the yellow note in the air and it is still hidden. Any suggestions on how to deal with this problem?

  10. I've searched and it seems most folks get it resolved by posting the files (see below) but is there anyway to troubleshoot this that doens't involve the dev having to look at each? Exported the Gp5, had it synced and exported in GPA, but EOF just doesn't want to import the xml. What's strange though, is I've done this same method before successfully, and now when I go to import a previous song's xml just to see if it would work, that also fails with the same error. Even when before that song was imported successfully. So maybe it's an issue with the audio? I donno, thoughts? 1._Death_By_Fire.gp5 1._Death_By_Fire.xml 1._Death_By_Fire.gpa

Any way to easily remove leading silence? For example, say I have a song that has 20 seconds of leading silence. It's too much waiting. I want to cut it to 10 seconds. I can change the .ogg file easily. But I have all the notes, beat map, RS sections, fret hand positions, etc. Any easy way to shift all that in EOF or am I out of luck?

Hello. I'm new to creating cdls. When trying to make a dynamic difficulty, RocksmithToolKit throws an error (1), which cannot be viewed because there is no log file. At the same time, Rocksmith distinguishes the difficulty of the psni in the settings. Please tell us how you can make dynamic difficulty

  14. I recently had to reinstall Windows on my PC because of a bug with the registry not picking up a corrupt registry key. Of course I had to reinstall EOF. But there is a problem now, even with a backup of my original settings. It's really laggy, and the interface keeps flashing and not working occasionally, as in when I click somewhere, it doesn't register as a click. I have no idea what the problem is. It's also begun asking me if I want to import voices from tabs? Doesn't seem normal. PC Specs should be irrelevant given how ancient this software looks. I have a Ryzen 5800x, and 32GB Ram @3600mhz 4x8GB. Also, the latest hotfix download …

  15. I need some help using EOF please! It's been so long since I made anything I forgot everything I knew. It did seem like things were progressing smoothly . So far I've added my guitar ogg file and selected real bass but when I try to import guitar pro (my xml file) I keep getting the same message. I have attached a file. Also jpeg of my EOF settings

when I use the page up and down keys, it moves the timeline in black. How can I get it to move on eighth or sixteenth notes to place the tones?

  17. I'm working on a chart that took me a few hours to manually set the FHPs for one guitar path. The Bass path plays almost exclusively the root notes of the guitar path and as a result, The fingering is identical. Is there a way to copy/paste the FHPs from the guitar path to the Bass path? Or do I have to spend more time manually setting the FHPs for the Bass Path?

  18. I've got a tux guitar score that has 8th notes where alternating notes are staccato. With "GP Import truncates short notes" turned on, all the notes are truncated. With "GP Import truncates short notes" turned off, all the notes have the same length. In either case, there's no indication that one note is longer than another. Rocksmith doesn't convey the notion of staccato notes by design. But I'm not a fan of this. I patched EOF to always truncate staccato notes. This looks better, but isn't accurate either. It would be better if the duration of a staccato note was just halved, but this looks like a much more difficult change. It seems like grace…

Hi, I have downloaded a CDLC song where the creator has made it as it's played in IRL, where the lead and rhythm guitarist kind of swap for the lead part in one part of the song. But I wanted to try and make it so lead and rhythm dont do that swap. So I have used Toolkit to import the package, opened/loaded the .ogg file in EOF, import the lead XML file and edited what I wanted. Then I saved and tried to add the new lead part into the Toolkit then click generate. But no matter what I do the lead part does not change in-game, but if I open it again in EOF it show right with all my changes. So anyone who can guess what I have done wrong?...

  20. Please see this short video of the behavior: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AkEOa9HQyVXzhKhP9PYvZ5wTK0G15Q?e=10WRgk Since building a new PC in Dec I have been unable to get EOF to operate in a useable fashion. As you can see, each element of any window is drawing in very slow succession and it typically takes 2-5 clicks to get a menu to start to display. This is not an issue on my old PC or work laptop. The only thing I can imagine is there might be some issue with it not playing nicely with my RTX 3060 ti. The card is stock, haven't done any OC to it yet, drivers are kept up to date, but when closing say the preferences screen, my GPU usage spikes to 13%. EOF is installed on a…

I'm charting a solo with some big bends - is there any good work around to RS not supporting bends higher than 3 half steps or do you just have to let RS display its max and let the player work it out?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knew if there is a way to increase the song volume of a cdlc? For me specifically its Jolene by the White Stripes. The song volume is super low for my liking. Is there a way to edit that at all? Thanks 🙂 I didn't make the original chart too if that matters.

  24. Odd thing going on here, only when doing this. Unpack CDLC. Load that bass.xml and .ogg from it into EOF. Make changes to notes. Save. Use WWISE, then RockSmith Tool Kit to build new CDLC into PSARC. When playing now, sometimes there will be up to what looks like a 12 lane highway of notes coming at you. Some of the notes will not even be on the highway lanes, like the F notes (1st fret E string) will be off the side of the highway not defined by a lane that meets up with that fret while the notes that come at you right after that F, say they wind up at the 7th fret, those are fine, but the roadway is still 6 or 8 or more lanes. All the notes are proper and in sync, just …

When saving an EOF file the dialog box "Edit note frets / fingering" pops up for the chords (I think). What am I supposed to do here? And how do I find out "the best" fingering? Can You recommend a resource that helps with the input?
