I currently have an offer for a low price guitar body with some pretty solid parts for a good price. I don't really need it, and I don't really like telecasters, but for it's price and being what seems to be a ginormous upgrade from my Epiphone Special II, which has some issues anyway, it feels kinda worth it. (And it looks kinda cool ngl/ I realized I don't like Les Pauls all that much.) Thing is though, it's not set up at all. All the parts are in boxes more or less. I have no experience setting up a guitar, and I was wondering if anyone had some personal experience with putting one together? (Specifically these parts: Telecaster body with pearloid veneer top. Wilkinso…

Just some quick song recommendations by me, a gen z kid (these are not reviews) These are some great songs and projects i think :p (All these artists write and produce their own songs and beats) Tyler The Creator's album 'Igor' is fricking amazing. no explanation needed. Listen from start to finish in order you won't regret it. Here's EARFQUAKE (skip the music vid a bit if you wanna get straight to the song) Polyphia's "40oz" also doesn't need no explanation Oh yea not to mention Frank Ocean's album, "Blond(e)" that stuff will grow onto you and will …

Hi RockSmith Charters, From Avdocatwork - The proud member of the Classic Rock Coalition. Anybody run across some 6-string or 12-string guitar tones lately. I have started charting 8 or so Eagles tunes, nearing completion. Any suggestions on Acoustic Guitar Tones will be appraised. PM me I like to hear from fellow Guitarist and Bassist. After buying a Fernandes Dragonfly of some sort (they did a lousy job of IDing their models early on) I purchased Rocksmith and liked the guitar but didn't love it. it had it's flaws electronically but overall I liked the look and feel of it. In the sound department though it needed a little work. Mind you I hadn't touched a guitar since I was 15 yrs old and I'm now 58. I tried the books but couldn't read music, happened on some early tabs but had trouble with focusing for more than 30 minutes on anything. It was an ugly evolution that ended in frustration. My first guitar was an acoustic Gagliardi who I doubt is even in business anymore. My mother bought it for me f…

I just wanted to take a moment to say how much I appreciate the creators of this forum and the creative minds that have come together to create some amazing content here! I've played Rocksmith for over half a decade now and really learned how to play guitar as a result of it. I spent hundreds of dollars on DLC and even then I found myself eager for more DLC content of Artists/Producers that I couldn't find anywhere in the games available DLC until one day I decided to check and see if there was a place where users created their own content for in game experience and found myself here. I haven't played guitar this much in a while because I found myself not enjoying the con…

Just wondering what the process is. or if one exists, to request an author to make changes to CDLC. I have downloaded some great songs but really screws with you when the wrong fret is indicated. (I play Bass mostly). For example, How hard is it to edit just 1 wrong fret that recurs in several different bars of a song? The one I'm thinking of is a Tom Petty song, I think "Don't do me like that". Wrong fret indicated in several bars - eventually the right fret is used later in the song. Keep Rockin'!

I wanted to let everyone know that these guys are working on a new album as of November 2017, and it's due in 2018. It is their first full album since 2004, and if you like Rush or REM or bands like them.....go to Bandcamp or Spotify and check them out. There are ZERO CDLCs for this band. I was working on a bass CDLC for Sunshine With The Shade, but got glitches in the creation software. Those of you with better computer skills.....check them out and make a CDLC of any song of theirs that you like !!

So I understand kind of what scales are. Similar to color theory, that it's a series of notes, and chords that work together to make a song sound good. What's the deal with each key having more than one scale, like a pentatonic major/ minor/Ionian e.t.c. Also why are some notes filled in, while others aren't? Final question, is it important to key track of the notes that's relevant to the key? (I.e, a C note in a C pentatonic scale?) And why? I feel like I've read something about them being root notes, and didn't quite get it's importance.

Hi! I have a lot of pratice on Rocksmith, but I am ready for the next step, aka learning how to play from scores. I don't know, however, how to start. I have searched websites that can help me, but I've only found heavy charged Youtube-like sites (i.e. Fender Play), and that's not what I am looking for. So, is there a place that can take my hand to learn reading and playing scores (paying subscription is not a problem to me), or should I do it roughly, like learn by myself on score sites like Jellynote... Thanks

Someone has uploaded quite a few Devin Townsend tabs in addition to what's already up, but the link to Dropbox is 404'ed :( I've tried finding the person's profile but theyve probably since moved on from here (username: Pandemic). Any heavy Devy fans, this is your time to shine!
