Have ordered a 50" telly from Tesco for £329.99 and put a few Outright Win bets on: Columbia £1 at 25/1 Uruguay £1 at 25/1 Netherlands £1 at 25/1 Costa Rica 50p at 2500/1 lol :mrgreen: A bit of a waste of £3.50 cos everyone knows that England are gonna win it :-P but I never bet on England or Manchester United because I'm the Kiss Of Death lol. I was listening to Radio II whilst driving today and they advertised a vote for the "top 100 guitar riffs" On their website here is a list of guitar riffs, with an audio sample and a vote option. I don't know if people will be interested, but recently looking for stuff and try and help the children learn the guitar. Came across https://guitarbots.com/ There is a free section, and a subscription section as well. What I found good, was that it worked with my Rocksmith cable - this is because Windows 7 picks up the cable as a USB mic. Give it a look over, especially if you're just starting out.

Hello Does anyone know what software / sites i can get backing tracks from without the guitar bits in or with the option to remove parts? I have guitar Pro but the sounds awful for the instruments on most of the tracks. Had a google but most of them seem to relate to singing backing tracks.

Or is that not allowed here?

Why is there a chord notation above some measures of a song's tab notation? Would you play the chord? Would you play the chord? Here is an example for GnR's version of "Knockin On Heaven's Door" http://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/g/guns_n_roses/knockin_on_heavens_door_tab.htm Above the first measure I kinda understand the G5 to start off the song as that is the notes being played, half way through the measure it shows a "D" chord but when and why would you play it or would you play it? If not then why is it there? Moving to the second measure there is a "C" chord shown but again I see nowhere you would play the chord. Is this for a second guitar to be playing along…

Playing a lot of Rocksmith has got me listening to guitar, and music in general, in a more nuanced way. Now some guitarists I wasn't interested in sound great to me, and my listening preferences have opened up to new genres. One guitarist I never really enjoyed was The Edge from U2, but now I have a lot of respect for what he does. A new genre I've always kinda sorta enjoyed that I'm really loving now is the Chicago Blues, and a new guitarist I discovered in that genre is Guitar Shorty, who I highly recommend. Anyone else experience changes in their musical preferences since picking up Rocksmith (or just learning an instrument, I guess)?

I am making this topic just to thank everyone who helps customforge / rocksmithsongs and the amazing search engine. Rocksmith is wonderful, but being able to play thousands songs and especially the ones you love the most is priceless. Hope you guys keep up the amazing work you are doing and keep improving and releasing new content. Thanks to the ones that create the songs aswell, must be really hard to nail every note right when creating. Thank you.
