The first one where I got that "I played the whole solo" excited feeling was Iron Maiden - Run to the Hills.

Here's my first solo. Not a guitar solo though, it's a bass solo.

 

That was back in the mid-90s when I was playing the bass in a punk band called The Exiles From Pluto. All original material too.

I started at the top and went for Comfortably Numb!

 

Couldn't play it for crap for 20 years, then I made a Rocksmith custom and it all fell into place :D

I learned it several years ago before Rocksmith.  I can't play it now, though.

I can't remember that was something from Aria or Metalica, I've never mastered a 100% solo at full speed, need more practice.

I have very nice tabs for the Maine Road version of Champagne Supernova, but I can't find decent audio anywhere.  I could rip it from Youtube but there's no HD uploads, it would all be very harsh on the ears :(

 

Unless someone could send me some decent audio for it...

Fun fact: Back in my guitar class in highschool, I blew away my teacher and the class when I played the whole song for our final. Was a good day!

Oasis - Supersonic :D about a year ago. It's pretty simple but i still love Oasis. Simplicity is sometimes the best.

For me i was two i learned both about the same time, they were iron maiden number of the beast and iron maiden wasted years

The Ramones "I Wanna Be Sedated" because It's just one note!  :D

She Hates Me I guess... lol, about 4 single string notes repeating each other... was pretty easy, to say at least.
