GP tabs longer than mp3 track in EoF?

I'm just going to guess but either there is an extra repeat or two in there or the song fades out and the person that made the tab just finished the section.

Not always. If it's just a few extra repeats, that is easy to fix once you find where the problem is. Just change the repeat number on the tab. But without having the entire project in front of me I'm purely guessing.

I'm with @@raynebc , it sounds like you haven't synced the beat map. When you play the song in EoF, are the notes in sync with the audio?
