Is that the only file I need? Or does the CDLC Enabler have more files that need to be installed?

I've tried everything to get the enabler to work, but it keeps telling me my Rocksmith2014.exe is in use. I've disabled anti-virus, checked Resource Monitor, and a lot of other stuff (see my original post) including doing it all in Safe Mode, but something keeps using the .exe.

If D3DX9_42.dll is all I need, let me know where to get it and what folder to copy to. Thanks!

It used to be the only thing you needed but that's not the case at this time.

If you try to delete the Rocksmith.exe will it let you? I would like to get to the bottom of this problem as you are not the only one who is experiencing it.

mine is not working either it said it was pirated then it said it worked but my custom songs don't show up and are in the DLC folder but don't appear in game. It need to be fixed. im on day 8 now.

I was able to cut it and paste it elsewhere. I was able to delete it and restore it from the Recycle Bin. Yet, even after putting it back in the folder and running the CDLC, it still has the same problem. Nothing's changed.

Yes sir i have tried everything not sure what my problem is.

This is a fresh reinstall that works normally i will retry the CDLC Patch.

Unsuccessful same result.

.dll File is there and .exe 11.344 MB

Yeah, I tried running the CDLC without the .exe in the folder and it wouldn't run.

Well, although it's not working right now, we do have a new version of the patcher coming soon. So I am hopeful it fixes this issue. I'll let you know when it drops.

 

Edit: Can you try dropping the new .dll into your Rocksmith folder?

The .dll from previous message seems to work, I have added some song to the new version. Thank you.

I wonder if it is possible to convert original DLC from windows to MAC version, from _p to _m. I recently moved on from a windows notebook to a macbook one. I already bought many official DLCS on Steam then I would not like to pay again, maybe it is possible.

Go back up and review posts in this thread. It is a known issue. Turn off your virus detection / windows defender to download and install, remember to turn them back on after DL/installing.

You are going to have to give more information. Are you getting an error message, how are you trying to put the .dll file into the folder, are you putting it into the Rocksmith 2014 folder in the Steam directory, is your Steam folder on the C drive, etc etc?

im not getting an error message but when i put the file in the file folder of rocksmith2014 it doesnt appear in there and gets deleted for some reason. The steam folder is on the C drive. I have put a few songs in de dlc folder and it doesnt appear in-game

Is Windows Defender or an antivirus doing that? Try disabling them to run the enabler or to drop the .dll into the folder.

You'll need to add an exception for the Rocksmith folder or the D3DX9_42.dll file that gets installed with the CDLC Enabler.

Sorry for the very late reply. Been playing and playing all the new songs! So yes, dropping the new .dll worked just perfectly!

Hi, I purchased Rocksmith 2014 remastered learn and play version for PC - Steam, and i successfully installed the RS2014 CDLC and also the RS2014 mod app, but the game just wont detect my 3rd party usb to guitar cables when i select the 'Direct Connect' option. I have 2 cables. The nocablelauncher keeps giving error message about, no ofsets. Also, In the rs2014 mod app, i dont get the option to enable direct connect in the - 'set and connect' tab.  Can you please help?

Actually today i changed my laptop, and installed the game, and in the game the 'Direct Connect' option not showing up so i replaced the whole game directory with the working one on my old damaged laptop. So thats how i got the 'Direct Connect' option to appear but it wont detect my cables even after the CDLC and RS2014 mod app were installed properly with the D3DX9_42.dll present in the folder.

If RSMods opens for you, the option will be under Set And Forget Mods -> Misc tab -> Add Direct Connect Mode.

You shouldn't use the nocablelauncher as it's old and direct connect is the newer, better version.

If you have direct connect enabled and it doesn't find a cable when you switch to it, then it's most likely a setting being incorrect/disabled in Windows and not the game. Like it not being set to 48000 Hz or microphone privacy setting isn't enabled. Or, something to that effect.

Thank you for the support, i found the Direct connect mode in RS2014 mod and activated it.  But still its not working.  Shows this message. I checked all the microphone and speaker settings also.  The NoCableLauncher exe keeps giving Offset error. I will try installing it on my Macbook pro later today and update you if its working or not. Maybe this windows 10 laptop is having some compatibility issues with Rocksmith.

Found the issue. Yesterday Steam updated and now the Direct Connect will not work. Will have to wait for a new Hack file, if someone will make one that is.

How i came to know, I connected my damaged laptop today where the game was working, then it updated same way it did on my new laptop yesterday, then finished. Cant play in Direct Connect mode. Both my working wires cant be recognized.

Steam new update killed the hack. 😞 

Direct Connect through rsmods works just fine, NoCableLauncher hasn't been recommended in a long time
