DOWNLOAD CUSTOM SONG FOR YOUR PLATFORM
INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Mac:
  • XBox 360: Place files: "_xbox" to "Content>0000000000000000>555308C0>00000002";

  • PS3: Install files: "_ps3.psarc.edat" to "/dev_hdd0/game/BLUS31182/USRDIR/DLC",
if the folder DLC does not exist, just create it.

Note: If you are intending on using Custom DLCs on a PS3 or XBox, you MUST jailbreak your console first!
Hacking or jailbreaking a console is beyond the scope of what we are doing here, and if you are not comfortable with doing it, you may want to simply buy the PC version of the game.

JUST PLAY IT !

im wondering what to do with the dll file

If you are using the .dll instead of the installer, it goes in the root folder of Rocksmith, i.e.:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Rocksmith2014

im in a beta version will that mess it up

You would need the .dll for the beta version with cherub rock in order for that to work. I am assuming you are using the newest one now linked in the first post of the thread.

yes i am using the newest one.

You will have an issue and a decision to make then obviously.

If you have Cherub Rock, and the .dll version from pre updated somewhere, that is the one to use if you still wish to use the beta. I am assuming a lot here, but as you have been here a while ago I am assuming you may have that stashed somewhere unless you over wrote it.

Your other option is to allow Rocksmith to update and use that version you just downloaded. Some will say there is no reason to not update, I personally like the beta better.

Not if you are actually still in the beta version.

check to make sure you do not have 2 D3DX9_42.dlls in your rocksmith folder and if you did not overwrite the old one. they conflict with each other. you can only use one.

it looks like i only have one of the D3DX9_42.dll. but its the 117kb version. not sure if thats the correct one

If someone still has it and has a hosting service to post it or you can check the discord to see if someone can DM it to you. I do not know of an email service that allows it to be emailed. Email services see that it is a .dll, and sees it as a virus.

so put the old one back in folder. launched rocksmith and other songs arent there. just the original 80 i did before. which beta version is best to use? cuz right now its "previous_version-holding the previous build for brief time"
