First attempts, managed to try all 3 this week.. woo me! I have 3 versions of Warpigs and I can play none of them... I quite love Black Sabbath though so I may have to give it a good firm try, very much enjoy the Amorphis one, Muse too, great array this week :) Kudos to choosers and selector!

Glad you guys are enjoying the songs. This is the reason I love the competitions as it gives us a wealth of music to learn that normally we would never even listen to and a lot that we have never heard of. Many of the bands and songs that have been chosen for these competitions I have never heard of just like the Amorphis song for this week. I find it awesome when I try the song for the first time and actually end up enjoying it a great deal. Sure there are going to be weeks where we may not like a particular song but I still try to play them as its always a great idea to branch out of your comfort zone every once in a while. This is why i try to stress everyone to put up songs on the song selection list so that everyone has a chance at getting a song they like picked and it gives us a tremendous amount of variety to play.

thanks for the playthrough. The tones are amazing. My guitar doesnt sound like that.

Great scores everyone 

I am so disappointed to see that intermediate is in D standard. Last time I tuned my guitar to it I get higher strings buzzing, and when tuning back one of the strings has broken :( It will be ideal to buy a separate guitar for this tuning

I play all tunings with my 10-52 strings. Works great.  I even have 2 guitars but still prefer to just re-tune my favorite.

Need to get heavier strings for these low tunings.

I did some updates on Supremacy. I was gonna completely rework it, but its not possible. I found a bit better tab, but its pointless. So I updates bits and pieces of the one that is uploaded :) Enjoy

Improving slowly ;)

it is a really nice song and it isn't that difficult to play once you get used to the pattern since its pretty much the same thing the whole song. The difficult part is if your fingers aren't used to the stretch required to hit the notes on B15. If anything this song will help people with their stretching lol. The easiest way to do that stretch is with your pinky so for those who don't like to use their pinky's this song will be tough.

yeah i wasnt sure about the finger positioning. Im the most comfortable with pinky on b15 and index on g12 but the transition from b11 to g14 is hard. But im getting used to it. Tried different fingering -> middle finger on g12, but is really hard to play e13 that way. 

 

I think ill improve it till the end of the week ;)

I use my middle finger on G12 and my ring finger for E13 and I leave my Index finger on B11 and just shift it to G10 when I need to. Seems to me to be a lot easier using this positioning as everything is easily accessible. 

Amorpis enough hard for me. Tried use middle finger on 12 fret - not enough stretch (or short fingers), a lot miss on 10 and14 frets. Changed set first finger on 12, and shifting in during playing, more good score.  My score after a looot RR  :oops: :

I tried with first finger on G12 and shifting but moving from G12 to B11 and then up to G10 was a pain in the ass for me and made it harder for me to hit E13. I guess its a preference thing but I have been stretching my fingers for years so all i needed was to learn the pattern correctly and it just fit.

I use my 1st finger on g12, b11 and g10, my 2nd on b13 and my 4rth on b15 and g14.  Works like a charm.

 

But every damn time i get a good start i get nervous and screw it up in the end.  but when i get a bad start i can more or less watch the tv when i finish the last parts without any misses.

 

anyway. got it up a little bit more.
