I have been working on a open source cldc editor to make cdlc creation much easier

Like we tried to explain in the discord earlier, there are many issues with this kind of project:

- The source material needs to be good, which for 95% of things it's not.
Tabs being used from Songsterr are AI generated these days, they are full of issues which need fixing so importing them 1:1 is always going to be bad. Ultimate Guitar also suffers heavily with low quality tabs which aren't even close to being right. Let alone ascii style tabs where there is no sense of musical rhythm at all.

- Customsforge is actively trying to increase the overall quality of charts after years of low quality things being allowed to fester and the community finally having enough of it and wanting better.
Looking at the preview you linked (which I do appreciate has not had any edits made yet), this is no better than 2014 created charts and does not follow the Charting Standards we have had in place since the start of 2025. There is no leading silence and bombards you with notes, all the notes have sustains, there are lots of issues with the fret hand positions and notes falling out of the "active" highway, there are issues with the slides not being correctly formatted. And that's just from the quick 20s preview.

- Whilst it may be "okay" for your personal needs in the quality department, if this is public, people WILL use this as a means to quickly generate a bunch of low quality charts that WILL try to be uploaded to the site - which again, we do not want.

Again, nothing personal against you and we do commend your efforts for making a new tool. We just have to make sure it does not diminish the 16+ months we have already taken to try and finally improve the user experience of new charts being uploaded. We are probably more than happy and willing to help you fine tune this if you have any questions at all about charting in the discord.

There is plenty of documentation on how to create charts on the forum and we implore people read through that on chart creation. There is a lot more required to make a playable chart for rocksmith.
