CFSM won't start

When I installed it, it ran and I was able to close and restart. A day later, nothing. It won't even update the debug.log file. I have removed it, reinstalled. Deleted the CFSM folder under documents. I am stuck on how to troubleshoot this issue. Last line in the log is [2026/06/11 17:45:45]: Application closed normally ...

Yes, it is Windows 11.

Same thing happened to me in Windows 10. Windows Defender detected a virus in the executable which I'm sure is a false positive. You may have to add the folder to be ignored under virus scans and then install again.

Thanks, sadly that was not enough. So I went down that rabbit hole, and turned off Real Time Protection and then it launched. Now the question is how do I exclude it from the Real Time Protection, excluding the folder didn't meet the brief. Any tips is appreciated, but I am looking into it myself.

I ended up running in compatibility mode for Windows 8 and it seems to be launching again; it launched once on Windows 11 and then wouldn't launch again until I did that.

Same problem for the second time in a month.
Turning off Real Time Protection is the only thing that make it work again for me.
Would be nice if the creator would fix this instead of becoming aggressive every time someone mentions the problem.
