Guitar Pro Import support ended?

Software says it cannot import anything newer than Guitar Pro 5. Is there something wrong with the newer versions? It's up to Guitar pro 8 now, and there's no way to save an older format in the software.

    in guitar pro choose export > GP5 there you go.

    in tux guitar, save as, gp5
