Official DLC at end of life

Now that many official DLC's (Such as the Volbeat Pack) are end of life, what is the policy about making them in CDLC?

GuideLines:

  1. No piracy, no mentioning piracy-related sites, no crack discussion

  2. No posting of legally purchasable educational workshops/learning tools/tab books/Paid Services & Subscriptions such as Ultimate Guitar "UG Content" "Official Tab"

  3. No posting of official Rocksmith 1 or Rocksmith 2014 official content. That means included songs and official DLC. Live versions of official content are also not allowed. Live versions of DLC songs that did not make it over to 2014 from the original Rocksmith are allowed as long as it doesn't copy the original chart. No posting of modifications to official Rocksmith 1 or 2014 tracks, this includes chart changes, tuning fixes, or multi-track versions.

  4. On this site, Ubisoft released musical content (such as oDLC or On Disc songs) are not shareable in any form

If I am understanding this correctly, we cannot recreate anything that has been released in the past? I am not talking about posting UBI Soft's DLC files, I am talking about creating our own versions of songs that are no longer sold. If the answer is truly no, it seems very short sighted as UBI Soft is not even selling RS2014 with songs anymore, that are not in the public domain.

You can recreate any oDLC you want for YOU and ONLY you. You [Nobody] are [is] permitted to post them here, or share them. The tools are out there to create cdlc on your own. Mods in the past said creation for personal use is permitted and no way for them, UBIsoft, admin, anyone to know that you created it for personal use.

The way your Original Post reads, it is not clear that this is what you were asking, and one has to assume that you meant for share on this site. Sharing on this site is NOT permitted, and is piracy. It is not abandon ware.

Sharing oDLC in any form on this site is truly no. (original files, recreated files into CDLC) as provided to you in the above links. It is not short-sighted, as it is the agreement that Ubisoft has given this site's creator / admins the ability to create CDLC and share them. It is that agreement and the continued fan base that has allowed Rockmith Learn and Play to be released. There are years of ODLC that is still in the store that are still for sale. IF this site were to permit expired ODLC to be posted here, people will just wait for the songs in the store to expire and grab them here. UBi will shut this site down and sue in a heartbeat (claiming lose of future sales and seek damages).

It is not short-sighted.

This has been asked and protested ad nauseam in numerous posts and clarified several times already. It MAY be revisited and change when all of the licenses expire, and no more CDLC is left in the store.

It isn't up for debate. Feel free to ping a mod or admin if you wish, but this is the answer you will be given, with the exception you will be told that the songs were available for sale for 10 years before removal. (Their words. I am just repeating and letting you know what you will be told).
