How to best use the Championship?

I think the best way is to try everything out and then pick one song per instrument to focus on each week. Slow, max difficulty practice on Riff Repeater slowly raising speed. Then to wrap things up, a run or two or three after practicing those tough sections and % goes up 📈📸🏆. Learn and practice outside of the game for sure. Consistency is the only way up so let’s play! 🔥🎸🔥

First up, “The Majesty of Rock” by Spinal Tap. Have you heard of the movie? It just got a sequel. Perfect beginner song to test out your power chord skills:

Next up, “Celebrity Skin”, a cover by Doja Cat. The original was made by Hole, an instant classic. You might not know the name of this one but everyone knows that riff. Another power chord song, but this time with an arpeggio section. If you can’t read the Rocksmith arpeggio notation, me neither:

Third up, “Spillways” by Ghost. These guys are on fire right now, and with good reason. Their execution is phenomenal every time.  This one is really fun to play:

Fourth up, “Fields of Verdun” by Sabaton. A song about the Battle of Verdun, one of the longest of World War I, which lasted from February to December of 1916. Great riffs on this one and a fun solo; this band doesn’t miss:

Fifth up, “7 Rings” by Ariana Grande (juliaplaysgroove). Ariana’s song from back when she had a different accent with Julia’s bass grooves on top. This one is fun to play and the bass sounds awesome, but it’s a tough one:

Sixth up, “Castle of Glass” by Linkin Park.Some empty space but it’s a fun, simple song to test out how well and fast you can move around the neck. Not too hard to remember this one:

Seventh up, “Back to Black” by Amy Winehouse. This song never gets old; 1.4 billion streams on Spotify for this killer track. This one was posted a long time ago so it would be great to see a new chart for it but it’s worth playing as is for now:

Quick jumps are quick. Bass is easy (I missed a few notes in the end specially).

Spinal Tap - The Majesty Of Rock

I messed up all the solo parts 🥲

Amy Winehouse - Back to Black

Nothing hard, good for beginners. For some unknown reason I can't detect anything with neck pickup...

Bass is nice to play. A few positions. Not punching on a single note.

Doja Cat - Celebrity Skin

I waited and waited slides in Rhythm part. But didn't expected them in the end. I messed up with all acoustic parts in Lead. Bass is interesting.

Ghost - Spillways

Seems like nothing special but practice required. Lead is hard. Bass is hard a little but interesting.

Sabaton - Fields of Verdun

One of the hards songs in the album. Bass is not hard.

Ariana Grande (juliaplaysgroove) - 7 Rings

That's hard. Another difficulty is that the bass doesn't seem to belong to this song.

I'm getting better recognition and scores on this one with 5 string bass

Finally got a score I'm happy with on Seven lead path.

Will play masterclass later.

I also could not get recording working. Either the audio in the recording would be potato quality, or the game would not crash on startup. 😕

Here this fast but not very complicated solo surprised me, I think this is more than 3.

I couldn't read the arpeggio parts by sight. I thought this was an old CDLC, but no! Why did creator use arpeggios instead of hand shapes in 2024 ☹️

There is no difficult solo here, but the chart is quite uncomfortable and it is hard for me to achieve a good score here.

Probably my favorite song on the album. I played this many times a few years ago after release, and this was really difficult for me at the time. I came back to this a month ago with a score of just over 80%, and without remembering the chart, I achieved 88%, so I'm glad I made some progress.

Not really a sight read, but close enough. Feeling rusty, I'm gonna need some time to get back in the game...

final scores everything else i wont be touching as they dont interest me that much. the beginner lead song i keep getting missed/early notes randomly so i just stopped doing it wasnt having fun either and i figured if im not having fun playing a song i shouldnt force myself :)
