I moved my game and DLC from my HDD to my M2.

Clean install of RS14 (set to previous patch version so CDLC will work), set CDL path in GUI, refreshed app ID in GUI, redownloaded the D3DX9 from CustomsForge, and restarted my PC.

Now when I try to play any CDLC, I can pick the song in my library, but then it just doesn't load.
Screenshot is what happens.

Looking for any ideas, Thanks.

Couple different possibilities.

The screenshot that you provided is quite often a Rocksmith version vs .dll version mismatch.

Unclear on your post if you are using the HDD and M2 at same time, Steam on HDD, Rocksmith on M2 or are both now on the M2

Did you check in your new installation that the D3DX9_42.dll was injected into the Rocksmith 2014 folder where the .exe is / did you remove the old installation of Rocksmith from your HDD if you are still using that HDD

Are you using the previous / beta version or current version of Rocksmith. the new enabler is for the current version of Remastered and Learn and Play, not the Beta.

You will need the D3DX9_42.dll for the Beta if this is what you are saying by this, and by downloading the D3DX9 from CustomsForge meaning you downloaded the current enabler (find the old .dll you were using or just update to the current version of rocksmith)

If you are using 2 different drives, one for Steam, one for Libraries, I would suggest if possible having Steam and Rocksmith on the same drive. I am not saying it won't work, just my experience is that with CDLC, enabler, etc it just does work better if all on the same drive.

oh, so I was using the previous updated version because in a patch a while ago they patched out CDLC. So ill try running the latest update and seeing if that works.

And everything is on the M2. I made sure everything was switched over.

Thanks for the response, much appreciated.

I am having the same issue and I guess I am not following the solution provided. RS worked a week or so ago and now it stops at the speakers for all CDLC. Not sure what changed or what I should change. I am using the beta version and I have the .dll.

Are you sure that you are using correct .dll for the beta with the beta version of the game?

The solution provided was to upgrade to the current version of the game and use the current enabler.

I think I might have solved this issue, but you bring up a great question that I don't know how to answer. How do I know with .dll I should be using? Thanks

The current enabler has the current .dll for the current version of Rocksmith 2014, but I assume you mean with the Beta / Previous Version. One way is the obvious that the game works and advances past the amp stacks into the chart. I believe the size of that file was about 127 kb. Without knowing the contents of each .dll, only the author or someone able to decompile it comparing it to the different versions would be able to tell you that. Somewhere in a previous post / previous thread a couple years ago I had made mention of what size what versions Beta/post Cherub Rock/ 32 thread were but due to time and numerous versions I can no longer remember them all.

That may also be a factor that somewhere somehow, either your previous Beta .dll was corrupted / replaced, or quite possibly Cherub Rock is not in / was removed from your library.
