Multi track recording / splitting input and output

Hello

I'd like to be able to record multiple tracks (i.e. bass and rhythm) on the same song and mix them individually for a final output.

Best solution so far has been to play with the backing track on mute, but some tracks have meter changes and it becomes very difficult for me to play them properly without listening to the song.

Is there any way to use the RS Asio/Reaper/OBS combo so that I can listen to both channels but record only the one I'm playing? I believe it should be simple but I can't solve it lol
