Can you still use cdlc's on the demo version?

I already have rocksmith 2014 on the ps3 and since you cant use cdlcs i was looking into pc and i saw they had a demo. So my question is if i just download the demo will i be able to use these cdlcs still? Or do i absolutely have to have the full version?

 

Also does it have to be on steam? what if i get a version that isn't bought on steam?

    I doubt the demo would work since you can't get any DLC with it. It doesn't have to be with steam (that I'm aware of)

    it's available in the Steam Summer Sale so is as cheap as chips at the moment, as is the official DLC.

    Even if you load from the DVD, it will install Steam, the game launches through Steam and all updates are installed via Steam as well.
