Improve Song List creation

We have 1 favourite Song List and 6 custom Playlists. I'd like to use the playlist in order to seperate different genres, which really supringslingly!!!! is not possible by a rock!! game. Really funny.

I want to structure my songs according so following genres:

(only favourite songs)

1_Pop and popular rock Songs 
2_Classic Rock, 60 70 80s, those easy to play stuff
3_Glam Rock, Hard Rock and heavy metal 
4_Punk Rock
5_Nu Metal and similar metal genres
6_Art Rock

Is it possible to use some kind of genre fields as additional tags for a song that would help this task? Even if it is not used by rocksmith, it would help keeping track of them. 

In order to create the songlists, it would be helpful for me to have additional information in the master song area: Year, "Is favourite", maybe rating (basically all available field), and then 6 check boxes that indicate in which song list the song is present already. 

A short rpeview would also be helpful. So far, I have a paper on my knees going through rocksmith in order to sort songs into the list. keeping track of newly added songs is a real pain, without a date field, too.
