Seeing that there are people on youtube and such that record the songs that they play, I'd like to know how they do it.

RS demands exclusivity over the input of the real tone cable; disabling the option in Windows makes it unplayable, with huge amounts of noise and desyncs too.

As I guess exporting the tones is not possible, I've also been wondering if I could have a splitter to record what I play via interface + Amplitube whilst I follow the track in RS.

 

 

If you're not using an audio interface, using stereo mix is probably the easiest way to do it. There are other options like VoiceMeeter - but that crashes the game for some people.

You can disable audio exclusivity in the Rocksmith.ini under the [audio] section.

I use a wireless system with two recievers on the same channel. One reciever goes to RT cable then to RS PC. The second reciever is connected to a mixer then to an audio interface which is connected to a second computer. This allows me to record guitar and voice on the second computer using any DAW I wish. Obviously I lose the RS tones in the recording but I've got quite a few pedals to re-create the tone, or use a different tone or no tone at all.

Not everyone has two computers but the recording computer could be anything from an old raspberry pie on up.

This setup gives great flexibility.

I use analogue wireless devices, AKG WMS mini pros FWIW. It might not work with digital wireless systems that need paired.

I first used this setup just to hear myself clean through a proper rig. The recording came later.
