installer flagged as malware

Hello lads, i'm a new guitarist who loves rocksmith 2014 L&P, but i'm also a cheap skate, and naturally, this combination led me to downloading CDLC, however, Malwarebytes imediately flagged it as a riskware DLL injector and possible back door

is this software safe to use? is it a virus?

i downloaded the latest version 3.5 if that matters

    It's a false positive. We've submitted older versions to be checked by AV companies to remove it, but I don't believe the newest one has been.

    The .exe is indeed a .dll injector as that's it's whole purpose. It just puts our D3DX9_42.dll file into the Rocksmith folder.
