Is there anyway to transfer saved game files anymore?

I see old posts for CGC transfer tool and a few other scripts, I run through all of them and I can successful get the ID to transfer and show up in rocksmith 2014 in steam, but when I click on the profile I still get a message that it belongs to someone else and it wants to wipe it out and start over. I REALLY don't want to start at 0 again. Recently got the 2014 steam version installed on new PC and trying to move from a non steam version.
