just purchased new pc and info from old was cloned onto it .  rs14rmstd  was working fine on old pc . on new one however the sound is awful. it sounds crackly and tinny . speaking as someone with incredibly low i.t. skills (and i really mean low!) is there anything i can do to sort this issue please?

i have checked other steam based games and there are no issues there. only on the most important one for me, rs14rmstd

any help gratefully received , thanks

If you cloned the drive on to the new pc [which above states you did], did you update the drivers to the new hardware? That is my first suggestion. Uninstall the old sound drivers and reinstall the proper ones. It / they  (drivers) may also be in your video drivers, especially if you are using HDMI. Make sure your video drivers are up to date for the new hardware as well. Review your .INI file as well, and sound properties have not been changed. Set "Win32UltraLowLatencyMode" value in the Rocksmith.INI file to 0.

If you are using ASIO it maybe a different issue.

Check your audio settings for exlusivity etc

Thanks all sorted , drivers were all ok . Changing the "win" and "exclusivity" settings got the job done 👍
