Moodring Discography Project

Hi ! This topic was created to record any progress done on this Moodring Discography Project, any kind souls wanting to help in any kind of way is welcomed ! Mostly your opinions on the CDLCs and what could be different as i try to not blindly follow tabs and reflect on what is heard in the songs to have it sound great.

I'll deposit and track progress here on this project. So far i've been making slow yet steady progress and i'm really happy that i have not yet given up and that i still want to finish this project with all my heart.
It has not been easy and i've had lots of doubts about the quality of this project, but with the help from the people on the discord I have the feeling that i can go much further, i have learned so many things from them and this project wouldn't be where it is now if they didn't guide me through it, so thank you very much !!!

Update 15/01/2026: So here we are ! I'm really happy to say that the band has announced their sophomore album entitled Death Fetish to be released on March 27th! I couldn't be more happy, even though it also means more work on charts!

Hi there !
This reply to the original post to notify that i'll be uploading the entire Show Me The Real You EP really soon, it came out as i wanted after i encountered some bugs that slowed the process.
You may see that some songs have only a solo, some have solo/rhythm and some have solo/rhythm/bass (and an alternate bass but it'll be explained why on the CDLC). After much thought with the tabs i had on hands, i thought that some parts wouldn't that interesting to play for a few reasons like not many notes or background sound for effects.
I'm really sorry for those that think it's worth doing, if it's the case i wouldn't mind making those parts but as for now and the fact it's been 2 months since i've started this post it has been on my mind for a long time to finish this. Also for the bass parts, i happen to have a 4 string bass with the original strings .45 - .105 which i should change soon enough, as they are almost 3 to 4 years old, and i have a set of .50 - .120 (EXL160BT) which should make the songs work as it was kind of hard to have the game pick up the sound of my bass while testing.

For Stargazer and YOUR LIGHT FADES AWAY, it's of work to be honest and it has been kind of hard, as well as the fact that i don't have much time on my hands with my student life as i am preparing a competitive exam for April.

As a matter of facts, for YOUR LIGHT FADES AWAY, 2 out of the 3 songs are "ready", which means that i have made them into a CDLC and i am testing them. But i'm honestly not that happy about the tone i created in the Tone Designer.
For Show Me The Real You it is a bit different, i kinda like the tone that i achieved to come up with, but it's a bit "meh", i don't know what to think of it.
I'm sure you'll tell me !
And obviously as i'm not a pro at creating this kind of things, i have asked for the help of ChatGPT and DeepSeek, which may or may not have been of help, once again you'll tell me 🙂

Finally, it's great having some time to work on those, i expect to maybe finish or atleast release some songs from Stargazer by the end of next week and maybe SHI=DEATH and WOULDYOUWAITFORME at the same time, even if i'm not satisfied with my tones.

Hey there ! 

If you read this i would like to issue a warning for the content of the Show Me The Real You EP that was recently posted.

So if you read this, i'll ask you to not download these CDLCs for the time being !

It was recently reported that these issues were there for my CDLCs :
- Charts need 10 seconds of leading silence.
- Bass tuning needs fixing (right click the bass arrangement in the DLCB and click Apply Low Tuning Fix. Bass charts lower than C Standard need the low tuning fix applying.)
- Sustains need fixing. Sustains should never touch the following notes - you should have, at minimum, a 1/32 gap between the end of the sustain and the following notes.
- Sustains that last less than a beat can also get removed. They don't convey any extra information 99% of the time and a regular note will do the job just fine.

As such, i'd like to apologize to the community for those issues that are present in the CDLCs, i'm obviously a beginner in making CDLC and as such i was still following a really old tutorial while there was a more recent one.

As a matter of fact, i am working actively to fix my CDLCs and am hoping to release them later during the day, maybe tonight.

So, please bear with me for this for a while longer !

And thank you for downloading these CDLCs even though they lack in quality !

I'll do better for the next ones, i promise !
