Why are CF Library songs are not playing in RS Remastered (new install)?

Featured Replies

Installed RS in Steam on a new laptop. Now, I cannot play any of my CF downloads even though they show up on the list of available songs in the directory. The songs played just fine in the old laptop.

- When I click on a CF downloaded song the program goes thru the bass tuning prompts and opens the song (but with a blank page). The actual song never starts playing.

-Do I have to repurchase the "Cherub Rock" song to recognized the CF Library songs?

-The original (and purchased) Rocksmith songs play just fine

-this is how I have the CFSM settings.  Do I need to change anything (i.e. validate the .dll checkbox)?

No. At this immediate moment all I can answer is this portion of the post. The enabler, the .dll in the current form removed the need for Cherub Rock because Cherub Rock is de-listed and no longer available for purchase.

Are the Cdlcs in the DLC folder of the Rocksmith 2014 folder,

Are you using multiple drives in the laptop, ie Steam Library on a secondary drive?

No secondary drives BUT I have a Sub-folder in the DLC folder, if that makes a difference. BTW, I just noticed that I don't have a .dll file in my DLC folder at all. I thought that file was part of the CustomsForge Song Manager install. Wrong?

UPDATE: Checked the "Validate XXXXX.dll" in the settings and it asked me if I wanted to install it if Song Manager couldn't find it.  I chose YES and ran the program.  It installed the .dll file in the Rocksmith folder and the songs are not playable.

Thanks for the assist.

Just run the enabler from the Use CDLC link guide at the top of the page (or here). Don't use "validate dll" as I'm pretty sure that hasn't been updated for the newest dll. For now, delete the dx3d dll you have in the rocksmith folder, and re-run the cdlc enabler

Don´t believe it is part of CF Song Manager.

I am thinking/hoping you mean "now" and not "not" as in it is working now?
