I apologize if this post is in the wrong spot.  im wondering if anyone has a fix to my game that starting to crash on some tracks as soon as the song is about to start.  Ive deleted recent downloads lookin for a bad file, but no luck?  What do i need to do in order to protect my date for a reinstall if thats the fix?

Thank you for your time

Is it all songs that it crashes, are they CDLC songs that cause the crash, but not DLC?

Crash as in game closes out completely, or does it just stops at the amps with the note highways / song never actually starts? If it is the later where it hangs at the amps, Hikikomori is saying that is what happens when you don't have the D3DX9_42.dll or the correct version of the D3DX9_42.dll.

If that is not the case, try verifying the game files through Steam / Steam Library,

Just random cdlc that worked before

Everything that was posted above still remains true. If the game is crashing on CDLC and not DLC, As Hikikomori stated above, it sounds that you are using the incorrect .dll patch or no patch at all.

you may need to whitelist it with your antivirus as it gets false positives
