It's crazy what a little bit of competition does to one's motivation, ain't it? That's the value that the championship brings.

thats why leaderboards are so necessary for rocksmith, everybody plays a lot better with competition

1. have you seen the rock-buddy app that @ RaZrShReD recommended? If not, here's a link. I think its 97% into solving the leaderboard problem. Check weeks 530 thread for details.
@ TNTMusicStudios If you can solve the 'new board on file checksum change' thing I will shill your app 666% harder.

2. But then again, the CS is more than than just leaderboards. It's got a social element that, imo, is even more important. Also, just the fact that there's a new track every week makes it that:
    a. you have to play stuff from genres you wouldn't normally play
    b. you can see your competitors progress in real time
    c. once you get the win no one can take it away.
    d. Since you only got a week to do it, you're forced to push yourself everytime.
Of course, if you can win every time with a sight-read it's easy to miss. But for us mere mortals it's a totally different game than a straight up leader board.

yea i use it a lot my name is also bottledpat on it, its great but i use pitch shifted files for anything not drop d or e standard so im very limited in actually increasing my ranking 

i pretty much use it to compete with other specific people at this point 

First try this week.

Just chiming in on the difficulty of songs. I think it's kind of subjective. Like the 1st week Steel Panther was right up my alley and was comfortable playing it. Felt pretty easy. Everything since then feels kind of difficult because it's not my style. But that's just me, some of you guys can play anything.

getting tight accuracy on that aerosmith song was more challenging that I anticipated, good b side though I haven't heard that song when that album came out.  

I don't wanna harp too much, but theres probably a few ui fixes that could be done that might improve accuracy for example not having notes touch etc.

You should be proud. 100% of any song is awesome.

My girlfriend asked me to play this for her, so I did of course. Took a little while, but I got it. 😅

It's actually really fun to play for a beginner like me. 👍

The biggest challenge in my life right now is achieving 99% in Karma Chameleon! 😆

I mean, I never tought I would be trying hard for hours to play this song perfectly!!! 🤣

I saw very far the day I could achieve a promotion to advance, but now I think I am getting closer!!

 

Kept trying but couldn't achieve a better score...

Here (in the arpeggio of Karma Chameleon Lead), I realized they make you change position in an already difficult part for no reason!! D shape in the the 5th fret and A shape in 10th fret are EXACTLY THE SAME NOTES! 🤣

(Good practice, though...)
