Scarlett 4i4 4th Gen - Mac problems

Hello.  I have been able to use a solo and a 2i2 to connect as the adaptor on RS remastered.  However, I just bought the new 414 and it doen't seem to recognize the guitar signal.  It shows a Realtone Cable connected, but there is no sound coming through.  I've only tried input 1 to this point as the other models looked to input 1 foer the signal.  Has anyone gotten the new 4th gen 4i4 to work?  Thanks in advance!
