Hey there I've managed to get a song to appear in rocksmith 2014 for mac (black dog)  but it just doesn't move once the song starts.  I've read that reconverting it form a pc version may help.

BUT, the toolkit won't open.  I've installed mono framework.  Every time I double click the toolkit icon it appears to launch and the icon shows up briefly in the dock but then it just disappears and never actually opens.

Running 10.8.5

Sorry if this has been covered somewhere but I can't find it for the life of me if it has.

Well I tried another mono and now it doesn't full on disappear but the little icon in the dock just keeps jumping and the application is frozen so I need to force quit it.

Any help would be amazing.

I tried downloading the files on a different mac running mavericks to see if I could just convert files on it and send them to my other machine... same problem with the hang up......  wtf...

I must be doing something wrong no?  But what?

I should also mention I've tried some other builds various mono options and have tried disk utility to fix permissions as well without any luck.

Well I feel like an idiot....

I wasted SO much time and tried SO much (and learned a bunch of stuff which is cool)

In the end with the newest mono framework in place and the latest toolkit build ALL I had to do was wait for a solid 2 & 1/2 minutes for it to load the first time!

Wow....  I'd delete this thread but seriously hope having the info that it could take that long out there in other places for people can be useful.  Sure would have saved me some hours.
