Hello, I just bought Rocksmith 2014 because I saw it was leaving stores and wanted to try it out. I'm still waiting for the cable to arrive, but it should be here this weekend. I was going to download the custom songs I wanted to learn so I could start with those. I know I have to buy Cherub Rocks, but when I went to do It said "Notice: Rocksmith® 2014 - The Smashing Pumpkins - “Cherub Rock” is no longer available on the Steam store." I was sure that it said that everything would be taken off in October not September. I looked around for a solution and someone said something about changing an "app ID" on another song but I'm not sure how to do that. Any help would be appreciated, thanks. *Also, I'm having some problems signing into Uplay or even creating a new account for it. It literally won't let me do anything 

On Windows, Customs Forge Song Manager can do it. (You can also use DLC Builder while creating your own) There’s a conversion tool on Mac; search Rocksmith 2014 convert PC Mac. It’s on GitHub.

 

Yes, Cherub Rock was not supposed to delist until the 22nd of October.

So any DLC song will work as long as I use custom forge? 

I am not sure I understand your question.

You can use any Custom DLC by changing the appid to any Original DLC that you own.

 

It appears anything that was scheduled to delist in October was just removed from Steam. That is disappointing, they are ahead of schedule. No Smashing Pumpkins songs, Mind Eraser (Them Crooked Vultures), Elephant (Tame Impala) all have delisted a month early. They were there in the Store when I looked yesterday.

Sorry, I JUST bought the game and I have no DLC currently. So I can buy any song to do it? 

Yes.

Any official DLC from the store will work. You will take the song ID from that official DLC that you downloaded and use that ID on the Custom CDLC from this site. You will have to change the Song ID, or APPID of the customs to the Official DLC that you downloaded. Any Official DLC from Steam will work.

It was just easier in the past to use Cherub Rock. Some people received it for free was one of the reasons it was used.

As far as the other stuff, I hope you were able to get your Uplay account made and working. Sometimes it can be slow connecting and time out.
