I have a song in which bass is played originally on a 6 string. Now there are two options: present as Rhythm guitar in Rocksmith, but then 4 string bass players can't play, and rewriting (re-fretting?) it to a 4 string bass. It would be cool if EoF could do that automatically.

You can do it in guitar pro then import it in EOF.

Using a program dedicated to authoring and manipulating guitar arrangements, ie. Guitar Pro, is the best option. This kind of function is mostly outside the scope of what EOF is meant to do.

In Guitar Pro 6 as well? I thought it was only possible in GP5. If you can tell me how to do that, please :)

I don't have Guitar Pro 6, but I don't see why they'd have taken that kind of feature out.

Guitar Pro 6 has it - if your arrangement for example 5 string bass has not that many notes played on the highest/lowest string you can transpose the notes in Guitar Pro 6 and then ignoring the string without notes in the import.
