Microphone Array

I have a built in microphone that Rocksmith 2014 isn't recognizing. Claims I need to connect a microphone to use that mode. I've enabled audio exclusivity, the device picks up sound in the settings. I have the cable, but this one acoustic has no input, just wanted to try this, but no dice.
