Can you not use gpx files or gp3 files? when i use gp3 files the notes don't show up at all and for gpx files they don't even show up on the list of guitar pro files to import.

    gpx/gp aren't supported. gp3/4/5 all work though. I just convert everything to gp5 to be safe anyway so i'd do that to your gpx file but your gp3 should just work.
