DDoS Attack

I was wondering if anyone has any theories on the DDoS attack that happened?  Was it aimed at this site or was it aimed at the server, which may have other sites of target hosted on it?

    What the hell is a DDos attack anyway ?

    How do you know is a banned user ?

     Distributed denial-of-service, and that's the only person we could think would have motive.

    I was confused why too, and your suggestion is the most likely motive I can think of.

    How do you know is a banned user ?

     

    It basically uses a program to flood shitloads of visits to a site at the same time so that the server gets so busy that it denies access to the site to others.
