I am (trying) to make a CDLC for a bass guitar, so far everything works, only that the sound is sounding rather electric (disorted) and not the nice smooth bass sound.

Been looking everywhere, but cant realy find what i need to change to have the right sound.

Any ideas?

You need to use a bass tone instead of a guitar tone, here's one I use for most of my bass.

 

to load it into the toolkit click on the tone at the bottom, click edit, load tone, browse to the tone xml file and select it, press ok a few times and you should be good.
