Score from last nights bass time.

The upside is that every time I run through the song I get almost three minutes to work on getting that one dang chord.  The downside it I still haven't gotten it.

I watched the live version of this and unfortunatelly they do play the song from the high frets as it is charted. Well, they also play it with telecasters, so I'm not going to get the same sound with my active EMG pickups anywys, so might as well play the chords from comfortable places. 7th fret A string for E, 5th fret A for D, 7th fret D string for A and 5th fret D for G.

Oh some grade grinding.

 

I'd say Five magicks is 9 on bass. Impossible for regular folks to sightread, but it's not actually that hard when you practice it a bit. Blazingly fast sure. A lot easier than the Atheist Man from few weeks ago.

For rhythm I'd say it's true 8, because the lead is not exactly god of guitar material and is clearly harder than rhythm, with that epic solo and those sweet solo fills in the early rhythmic parts.

Intermediate L (5) Strange Brew 95.38%, I was hoping to do more, but Customsforge issues, flu shot side effects and getting week 313 ready and this is what I have. I'm pleased with it, it took a few hours in RR and multiple attempts in SA.
