@ZeroPingNZ  My guess would be that the pull offs are just some miss labeled accents.  That's how I play it anyway.

Nice! Btw, what's up with those pull-offs on open strings? How does that work?

 

The chart just uses wrong notations there. If you listen to the song, they play six partially palm muted open strings there and then has an emphasis on the not palm muted open string. So basically the pull-off open string is an actual open string, the other open strings there are palm muted.
