Also agree with the above. Funkytown is actually pretty challenging for bass just in terms of holding that octave for that long consistently. Savatage was definitely easier than Coheed. 

 

 

Getting better.  But i need to RR a few sections in the middle of Peace of mind.

 

And bass.   Funkytown is a lot harder than a 1.  I would say 4.    Damn octaves is a pain to play for that long.

Took me a couple of run-throughs to figure out the rhythm of some of the parts. Interesting song

Lead actually isn't that hard...

Oh, Funkytown... I'll be honest that I didn't liked the song and completely forgot how it was going, so when making the post I took the rating that was in SSL. But now when you all have mentioned those octaves, I remember it, yup it's probably harder then beginner  :ph34r:

 

I felt that Gutter Ballet was faster and more complex than 2's and 1's as it seemed easier at 1st run, or maybe I played too much and it all meshed together.

That 100% needed focus but wasn't that hard to pull off:

Okay, definitely harder than 1, but still probably the easiest if you can play finger style and have strong enough fingers to keep the octave shape for a long time.

I think Coheed's rhythm is much easier than Savatage

 

Lead is still a bit too hard for me but haven't tried RR yet

Oh! The piece of mind was masterclass, not advanced. Fine. This didn't feel like an advanced song. Perhaps 4 or 5 at max? Definitely easier than Gutter Ballet.

Piece of Mind is def advanced/masterclass on bass, wow-wee what a song to try playing...

The solo on gutter ballet is just way out of my league and the bar chords on piece of mind just gives my fingers fatigue.

But here are some improvements anyway.

after a big wet weekend in wales, and a busy week i got a couple of scores

 

 

 

previous best was 82 so I'm happy

 

 

 

started on 89% but quickly got the hang of it.....might not worry the 99%ers but @@Rodman ....I'm on your tail  :P

So what do I have this week? Certainly no heroic deeds.

 

Savatage, my heros of my yesteryear. I remember listening to Dead Winter Dead nonstop while writing my diploma. But my favorite record of them is The Wake of Magellan, so good. I love good concept albums and  this one is up there with Operation Mindcrime and Nightfall in Middleearth.

 

As always first and best score. I will have no time tomorrow, so these are my final scores.

 

 

 

 

 

 

And Boston, could be better, but my fingers hurt already. Somehow I always think this title is from Peter Frampton.
