Lol, I just realized that some of the muting on electric can be done with the left hand and it made chords so much easier to play :) I guess I'll need lessons at some stage!

Yeah, basically your picking hand keeps doing 4 downstrums* per bar throughout the entire song and your fretting hand lifts up on every third strum of the bar and covers the strings so you only get a muted chug, before making the chord shape again. You can also keep the chord shape, while muting the strings with your fretting hand, but I recommend you test the difference with an amp. What easily happens when you just lift up the chord shape and try to mute the strings with that, is that you succesfully mute some of the strings, but some notes will ring out and and sound horrible (rocksmith will register them regardless of how they sound).

The online guitar tutorial/lesson program I followed before buying rocksmith had these rhythmic exercises, where you'd play against a metronome, create a chord, strum down twice, then mute strings with fret hand and strum twice. Then repeat with a different chord. It helped getting familiar with chords, while forcing to maintain a sense of rhythm while thinking about what the next chord shape is.

Yep, this is definitely a 5.

 

Although for most of the song this one is easy, the ending is not. There for, this is certainly a Intermediate level song.

Grinding on this hard.  I can't believe the complete lack of a streak, but my best accuracy.  I thought maybe he does the slides at the end with a whammy pedal, but I found some videos, and he really does the slide.
