I thought Intermediate was max 5? I'm already probabaly one of the weakest players in Inter, (my recent result don't show that though, Only because I must have played Insomnia about 30+ times this week) Now I gotta contend with a Difficulty of 6. This is not gonna be an easy week. 

 

The Tempest was a bit less tricky than I first thought!

 

 

My wife loves Whitesnake so I better work on this one...

@@NunoJBSilva.Guitarist @@everyone - i have time now for some more extensive explanations.

Well, the topic and fear of being leveled up is there from the beginning, and there have even been heavy discussions for 5 years now. Esp. @@Mortalo and me have been trying to get the best and fairest ruleset to provide a fair competition for every player every week. And there have been a lot of rulechanges regarding that: Years ago we had very strict up/downleveling rules (to keep that uncomplicated i will leave bass special rules away here for the most part)

Players got upleveled ad 99+ or 3 weeks in a row of 97+ and the only way of downleveling was scoring <79 or skipping the class for several weeks to lose player of class status and then start from new in any class - that strict ruleset led to discontent and even in players leaving or thinking about leaving.

So we tweaked and tweaked and ended up with a minimal ruleset that is really necessary:

 

Everyone can choose his class he wants to participate when he starts to play.

Lead/Rhy and Bass are independent so a player can choose different classes in the different paths.

 

You level up

-----   if you achieve 99%+ (bass 99.5%+) on a classes top difficulty song (3 for beg / 5 for int / 7 for adv) - unless you vote against! (your classmates and the orgas will have to let you stay (to avoid players of higher classes to rule a lower league))

-----   whenever you feel ready - just make a post (and pm any orga so you make sure its not overlooked) and you level up.

 

You level down

----- whenever you feel you are in a class too high (your new classmates and the orgas will have to let you stay (to avoid players of higher classes to rule a lower league))

 

GoG is an extra competition for everyone - MC stays masterclass and does never level up.

 

 

Thats all - as easy as possible, with minimum chance of players getting deprived by the rules - especially taking into account potential misratings of songs and also potential upleveling scores in e.g. songs with one short solo that makes it high diff and else an easy rhy pattern, or the potential high score in a players favourite song or if he is the charter....

 

we seem to have done well, maybe too good - cause there were about zero rule discussions now for 2 years ;) Word up, we love to improve!

 

JB - for your situation: Please do not fear auto-upleveling scores of 99+ on 7 scored songs! Never hold back a score - yes, we all are here for fun and to get better and to have friendly competition! You and @@meelo are both on the edge to MC already (i will be able to prove that in the coming days ;) ) but speaking for myself - we have great competition in our class and i personally hope you stay there a few more months.

What i wanna bring into sight for you is a very important leaderboard rule:

You can score and go for the places in your class and any above!!! Maybe you should just try to fight the MC songs too from time to time, and (maybe) you will see you can quite give a competition there too!

Hey mate, shouldn't I have more than 1pt in Inter? I came second this week just gone.

Can't remember playing this song before and even less that i added it to the song list.    But i had it and it was played, so i guess i did.
