I know this is kinda closing the barn door after the cows already got out, but after my first realtone cable started dying I bought a passive DI box.  My realtone cable goes into it, it sits on the computer, I have a normal cheap 1/4 inch cord from it to my guitar.  It was only $20, so I figure if it save me from replacing even one realtone cable I've saved money.  My kids can treat the cheap cables as bad as they want and I don't stress it.

This was a really exhausting warmup.   Should have started with something a bit slower.

 

And playing this with 2 fingers like Steve Harris is even worse.
