Mkay. I just don't want to play that again. Not even going to bother with practice. I just can't stand listening to this guy. :/

@@Angelina27 What are you trying to post? Probably something other than link to the leaderboards :o

sorry guys! I was actually updating my link to the leaderboard, but it's been awhile since I've done that and forgot how , all good now, thanks ;)

Got some good proper playing in.  Sitting on a piano stool instead of the floor, so that's an upgrade.  Hmmm....Just realized I was playing my dad's guitar on my grandmothers piano stool.  That's pretty cool.

Anyway...love the picks this week @@Toni-Wan Kenobi

Kids in America...this version is good, I really like the cover by the Bloodhound Gang tho.

Took a few tries to get through Boys of Summer without it leveling me down.  Good base to start from I think.

The strumming pattern isn't obvious at first (to me anyway), but I think I can do it now.

I usually like Leo's covers, but Elastic isn't speaking to me.  However, I was thinking of a quote I heard, if you have a drummer and a bass player and you can only keep one, keep the bass player.  The bass part is very percussive and keeps the beat of the song to me, so I did get into that aspect of it.

raaaah that outro solo keeps getting me, every strike somewhere at the end, every time

Was curious to see what a master class bass track was like, yikes!

When I saw you picked a Kids in America cover I thought it HAD to be the cover by the Bloodhound Gang given your song requests by them!

@@diceslinger Cool man, glad you an so many others are enjoying them!

Never heard the bloodhound gangs cover of kids in America before and I love those guy's! I shall check it out.

Here's my first (and probably only) run through for Boys of Summer:

I don't think I had anywhere near the accuracy that is indicated in the score, but there ya have it!

And while I was in SA and the bass was still in drop D....I hate to say this, but this song is growing on me.  Though I feel like I nail the 7th fret to 2nd fret slides fine for the first part, but then in the middle I start getting misses.  Not sure why.

Tried SA for a warm-up, not too bad!

Played it again, slight improvement

Question - how do you play this part? Barre on the 4th fret or keep shifting the index finger between B, G, and D strings?

I'm not the best with techniques, but I personally hold my index finger over all 3 stings, an pick between them an use my ring finger  for the 6th fret. But I'm still a noob when it comes to 6-string. I do what's easier for me not whats correct.
