Rocksmith Tools Launcher is compatible with macOS 10.14 (Mojave) and below ...

 

STOP - DO NOT UPGRADE to macOS 10.15 (Catalina), yet - looking for compatibility testers ...

 

There's a new application for Mac users named Rocksmith Tools Launcher.  The application includes and launches the Mac Wineskin ported versions of:

1. CustomsForge Song Manager (CFSM)
2. Custom Song Creator for Rocksmith (Rocksmith Toolkit), aka 'the toolkit'
3. Custom Game Toolkit (CGT)

After the download completes, double click on the RocksmithTools.dmg to mount the image.   (For Download Error Workaround ... LOOK HERE) 

 

The mounted image will look something like this:

 

 

Drag and drop the Rocksmith Tools Launcher icon onto the Applications shortcut icon to install the application.

Easter Egg: Drag the horizontal slider to the right to view the ReadMe.txt file.

 

 

Eject the RocksmithTools image.  Open the Lauchpad app, or Applications folder and double click the Rocksmith Tools Launcher icon to start the application.  WAIT PATIENTLY  for the application to start up (maybe a couple of minutes the first run so get some coffee).

 

 

 

Note: Rocksmith Tools Launcher for Mac is a replacement application for the individual Mac Wineskin ports of these tools.  The new app takes less disk space than the combined individual tools did.   Thanks goes to I)ark_Seph for his past Mac support of the individual tools.

hey y'all, still looking for a way to have the converter be able to see my mac's file paths, is this happening to other people as well or nah?

Can Anyone assist in helping me find the DLC FOLDER . Its is not located under my steam apps location. I can not figure out how to upload my songs to rocksmith at this time im on a MAC thanks .

@@mrmobilehome20119 in finder, hit command+shift+G to get the "Go to Folder" textbox.

 

The paste this in the text field that pops up:

How did you get it working? Mine keeps saying it can't be opened because it's not responding. Have tried the terminal tricks but still have had no luck??

Anyone getting error messages like

 

"Error Writting file: you cant save the file "user.reg" because the volume "EC99D2A8-FFA3-443F-9352-970044754CC6" is read only. 

 

It does this for every file i assume is contained in the Toolkit. 

 

This happened after i ran the terminal commands btw. 

Ok, so if you right click the toolkit app, and hit "show package contents --> Contents --> Wineskin launcher" You can launch the app. Thanks yall!

The Catalina file worked for me! Although now I can't seem to find any of the CDLC files that I would like to convert. Does anybody have any info on how to actually find the files to convert?

The Catalina package doesn’t work for me. It says I don’t have enough permissions to copy something in the package over, and if I leave Sophos running it detects a potentially unwanted application at about the 350MB point of copying it into my Applications folder and terminates. Note that the official version does not have this issue.

hey guys. i downloaded the 6gb file. i says its broken and cant open. anyone know what to do?

So here's my results for installing Rocksmith Tools...

Catalina 10.15.3  yes I have not updated to .4

Downloaded the 6 gig file

To get the program to install, I followed the instructions from post number 2 on page 1 of this thread, I did STEP #1 - DISABLE GATEKEEPER.

Then I had to do STEP #2 - DISABLE SYSTEM INTEGRITY PROTECTION (SIP).

After STEP #2 I did the installation.

I reset the SIP and tried to run the Tools.  IT DID NOT WORK.

I had to repeat STEP #2 to run the tools.  I was able to convert a PC .psarc to MAC .psarc.  The only way to use the Tool is to disable the SIP.

After using the tool I reset the SIP back to 'enable'

 

Now my next two problems...

1)   The tool would not create a .txt bass tab file.  It looked like it wanted to create a bass tab, but it didn't do anything.  It would create a new directory for the file, but no file.

2)  The song I converted "Pink-Floyd_Another-Brick-In-The-Wall-Parts-I-III_v1_DD_p.psarc" into "Pink-Floyd_Another-Brick-In-The-Wall-Parts-I-III_v1_DD_m.psarc" only plays the first minute or two then ends, as if I've reached the end of the song.  The song is 10 minutes long.  Trying to select any part of the song after the first minute or two using Riff Repeater causes Rocksmith to crash.  I've tried a few things to work around this, but no luck.  I guess that's a problem for another thread.

As for why the tool has not been officially ported to Catalina. The tool relies on 32-bit applications to do the dirty work, and it isn't as simple as recompiling the files. Catalina broke a lot of tools, and it isn't a problem of "whos got the time" it's a problem of "It won't work"... Even if we did get it working, in 2 years Apple is going to move all Macs over to ARM which does not support any of our custom files in the slightest. So official update to Catalina, maybe when/ if the major software gets updated, updated for arm/ "Apple Silicon", most likely not.

csrutil HAS to be disabled to show the files.

Thanks for the Catalina-pack update!  Just installed it on my 16" rMBP running Catalina (10.15.5), and was able to 100%-bugfix a CDLC without issue!

The toolkit was working fine for me for a few days but now when I try to open it i get the following error message and it will no longer open.

 

"Please set registry key HKLM\Software\Microsoft

\.NETFramework\InstallRoot to point

to the .NET Framework install location"

 

What must I do to get it to work again?
